HI! I just bought a Creative memories kit and I am really excited about my new project. I have sorted the photos for my first book and cropped them. Now I have a question. How much better are the creative memories albums than the others. I did buy 2 with my kit, but I went to target the other day and noticed they have albums for much cheaper. Is the quality much lower? Where do most of you get your albums? Any information would be helpful. Thank you!! :thewave:

I am in the process of working on my first album and it is a CM album. Since it's the only one I have I don't have anything to compare it to. I think the quality is great and the fact that it will be covered against damage forever was an added bonus for me.

Good luck with your album.

Me personally I say yes. Others will say no. There are good ones out there that are not CM but there are also really cheap ones too.

I started out with these 12x12 ones that you can get for 1495 at Michaels when they are on sale and to me they are very cheap compared to CM albums.

What I like the best is that they are guaranteed for life and others are not.

Honestly though I think it boils down to preference.

I've found that the quality albums all tend to run in the price range that the CM albums do. The difference is style. Personally I don't like working with the jeeping (those metal edges) so use a three post top load version from Dalee. The price on those is close to CM. I have done a couple books over the years that were under $20 and am not as satisfied with the quality of the book.

I can't compare to the cm books as I have never used one, I really like the pioneer top loading books and currently I am going through a 3 ring binder phase. (I got tired of having a zillion albums laying around so I combined them into the 3 ring binder and now am thinking of altering the cover of said 3 ring binder since I'm also going through an altering stage. :) Pretty much it's whatever works for you. :) maggie

The few pages that I have done are in a album with the top loading pages. It just feels like extra protection to me.

I bought two albums at WDW last year. And they are really nice. I know you can get the albums cheaper at Michaels. But if you want a nice album for your Disney photos, this would work out nice for you.

I started with CM albums years ago........I have recently purchased top loading Disney albums, but...........I don't want to have a different style then all the others :sad2: The quality of the CM albums is nice, but you have to trim all the 12x12 paper :earseek: I guess it all a personal preference. And as soon as my DH builds a different bookcase, I'll start using a different style of album.
