I'm new to scrapbooking, my BFF has me convinced I need to scrapbook my next Disney trip. I've been collecting stickers and paper for a while now. My question is - Are there different scrapbooks to choose from at WDW then what I see in the stores (ie Michael's or Joann's) or should I just buy my scrapbook before I leave? And if there are different, more unique, scrapbooks at WDW about how much should I budget for a couple 12x12 books? TIA!

There are different scrapbooks at WDW but the problem is you can't get refill pages. If your book is only going to be 20 pages then you're all set but if it's 45+ like mine then there is a problem.
you can do 1 of 2 things, either buy a scrapbook locally and pick up refills at the same time or buy a WDW book, take their pages out and put all new pages in. This is what I did.
I also am not crazy about the quality of scrapbook from WDW, mine do not seem to be holding up very well, they are very wobbly when I pick it up.

I don't remember the cost but I would say between $25 and $40 per book, someone else might be able to narrow it down more for you. I haven't bought any books in a few years, I use either the Creative Memories, EKSuccess, or Pioneer.

I prefer the Sandy Lion scrapbooks to the ones available at Disney, for the reasons BAMB stated. I paid about $30 for 12 x 12 Disney albums at www.mousememories. com and www.sandylion.com. I think that both of these online stores (and others) have much better Disney stuff than Disney itself:).

I happen to be a strict Creative Memories person. I won't use any album but. I just can't seem to find an album that is as strong or as good as quality IMO. They do have some cute Disney albums too. I just got the new catalog from my consultant yesterday. Check them out at www.creativememories.com

Thanks for all the great info! I'm surprised Disney's own books aren't of great quality. I'm glad I asked before I bought one, that would just turn me off of scrapbooking if I spent that much time on something and then it started to fall apart.

I love their page protectors, they are really thick. It's just the albums that need help. There store as a whole is not that great either.

My favorite online store is www.mousememories.com They are located in Kissimee FL, which is about 20-30 minutes from WDW. If you have a car available it might be worth a drive over there. You can make a wish list from their website and when you get there, they will pull the stock for you.

I love my disney scrapbook that I bought at WDW. It is a three ring binder type and came with 15 protectors(30 pages) It was $30 or $35. It has alot of the characters on the front and it lights up. It has held up really good, all four of my kids have brought it to school to show it to their friends. I could add another 5 protector sheets to it if needed. I bought a disney one before our trip last year and returned it when I saw this one at wdw.

I'm parcial to the CM albums too. In fact, I received the 8x8 CM Disney album today to do my SDV pictures in.
