Hi!

........ as a new member I do not have the ability to inbox anyone about their points for sale. I am working on that.

..... my LARGE combined family (celebrating our wedding and family integration) is planning on traveling to Disney .

With this in mind I have questions for owners

1- when do you get your annual allotment of points issued?
2- do any of you have a waiting list?
3- does anyone sell their points around 10-11 dollars? The resellers of the points are around 14 dollars. I have seen "sites" that have owners selling at around 10-11 dollars a point but they seem to be last minute I have to get rid of these how did I get stuck with these sales... and given the importance of his particular celebration, I don't want to risk that
4- When someone rents from you, what happens at the desk at check in? Do we give your name and our name? Just our name?
5- Does anything else happen when you rent the points from an owner like the "key to the kingdom" that says DVC member on check in? And while I am at it... what is the Key to the Kingdom?
6- can the park tickets be linked to the cards like when you buy though Disney upon arrival?
7- Dining plan... I am noticing that we can add it but have to pay for it on arrival? True?

Okay I think...that about covers it.

Thanks for reading.

Thank you more if you take the time to answer!

And thank you to all the owners that for whatever reason aren't using your points giving the rest of us a chance to rent them and have a great vacation!!!

DVC Members can make reservations at the resort they own 11 months from the arrival date and at other DVC resorts 7 months before arrival - so their Use Year does not matter when making a reservation.

If you are trying to make a reservation more than 7 months ahead you will need to contact a DVC member who owns at the resort where you wish to stay. You can look at the DVc Rent/Trade Board and respond to any of the threads there offering "Points for Rent" with your request.

Rental costs are entirely between the parties involved. You can certainly try to negotiate any price you wish to pay. If you are trying to rent a villa more than 7 months ahead, you may find more resistance to negotiating, but you can still ask.

The reservation should be made in your name - not in the member's name. You will need to have photo id at arrival in order to check in. Park passes can be encoded onto your room key (called "Key-to-the-World" or "KTTW").

The member you rent from will need to add the Dining Plan for you at least 2 days before arrival. It must be paid for when added to the reservation - not at arrival.

You should review the **How to use this Board** thread near the top of the Rent/Trade Board. There are some suggestions for renters there about the process.

Good luck! :)
