Just returned from great stay at BWV. Thought I'd share some new/different things we noticed. (some of these might not be new to all. But, new since our last visit last year).

Room 5041: Boardwalk view.
Sofa bed was the new kind. Easy pull out and was more comfortable.
Master bed was much more comfortable than our last trip.
Room was seemingly well kept. Exterior facade was noticeably dirty. Everything white had black stains on it. I have seen powerwashing in past trips. Maybe it's due to occur again soon.

Spoodles: new, much smaller menu. While still a good meal. Not as good as before. Kids 'healthy' (cheap) menu: terrible. Our waitress shared that it would be gone after Nov. I hope so. We missed not being able to have a wider kids choice. (How are processed chicken nuggets better than real chicken finger strips?)

Funnel Cakes: Have their own kiosk on the boardwalk. Various tempting toppings can be had.

Hot Dog cart: now has a mozzarella stick combo meal.

DVC merchandise: There seemed to be more DVC branded items at the boardwalk store. Hats, shirts, jackets, keychains, magnets, etc.

Boardwalk bakery: while no cinnamon yummies, there are tasty cinnamon crumb cakes. I was pleased to learn that we could use our snack credits at the bakery.

Meal Plan: saves money over paying cash IF you were going to order all that food anyway. However, we ordered more than we normally would and it restricted us to which places we would eat at. Mainly because my kids need more choices than PB&J /mac&cheese / grilled chicken. If we were paying cash, we would have have ordered the adult options they liked. We missed not going to the Dolphin/Swan restaurants too. Next time, we'll skip the plan and get the DDE.

Holiday decorations are all up. We got to see the culinary staff build the gingerbread house in the lobby. It smelled great.

BW garden suites: too bad these aren't on the villa side. The courtyard and the suites are georgeous.

If anyone has any questions, I'd be glad to answer.

Glad you had a great trip!

Just a quick note about the DDP, we are using it on our upcoming trip and still want to try things that are not on the plan. So, we are picking some signature places that use 2TS where we can go have a really nice meal, and then paying cash for the other.

BTW, your kids are adorable. And DP loves the shirts!

I agree the new sofabeds are a vast improvement over the previous version.

One way to do this is to use the DDP for one person for the more expensive entree, appetizer, drink and desert. Then pay cash for the other. Or even share an entree with an extra appy or the like. We shared the Surf and Turf at Narcoossee's and the Price Fix combo at Artist pointe with a few minor additions. That way we didn't overeat nearly as much also. For groups with teens, give them the freedom to eat on their own at CS options and use the TS for 2 sit downs some days with the extra coupons. The variations are endless.
