New to FP/FP+

I am new to the Fast Pass system. Last time we were there I had toddlers with me, so we didn't really ride much. This time around they are 6 & 4 and are ready to ride some rides. I understand the whole FP+ system and did my choices yesterday for our March trip. My question is....once you are in the Fast Pass line, typically how long does it take to get onto the ride. I am sure this varies. I just wanted to get an idea if you usually get on it pretty quickly, or if you are waiting awhile with the Fast Pass. We have FP+ for things such as Dumbo, Toy Story Mania, Kilimanjaro Safari, Meet the Characters, etc. Thanks!
