DH and I will be going to F&G for the first time this year. I was curious if there are any must do's or anything "special" or different that we should experience. We are not into gardening so I don't really think we'd be interested in the seminars. TIA for the suggestions.

All of the topiaries are stunning, and there are usually about 100 or so scattered throughout Epcot.

There is always a butterfly garden area with an enclosed area to view many spiecies of butterflies.

Check Deb's site for lots of information, check the links in the left margin also.

Thanks! I didn't know they had a butterfly garden. That should be really nice.

We aren't into gardening either but we all love the F&G Festival. All the flowers that is around Epcot is so pretty and the topiaries are really fun to look at/take pics of. I was hoping we were going to catch it on our upcoming trip, but unfortunately we are going to miss it by a week :(. Have fun.

Thanks. From the pictures I have seen the topiaries look amazing. I'm actually planning on taking a memory card just for those pictures. :)

And there are all these food booths that feature food from different countries. We love it!! We will be there again this year!!

So like F&W? It might be a nice intro for us. We will also be doing F&W for the first time this year as well.

Yes, for the most part, but on a smaller scale. I didn't really see anything that I absolutely HAD to try while I was there, but I'm sure that it will take time for them to establish the "must-haves". I'm definitely going to give it another go this year, as I'm sure they have changed some booths, flavors, recipes, etc.

I'm not big on the gardening stuff, either, but I do enjoy the topiaries, the scent garden in France, and some of the shows (I ALWAYS try to make it down for Peter Noone from Herman's Hermits - great show!). Last year, we stumbled upon a little area on the path between MouseGear and Test Track that had a few Adirondack chairs and a picnic table with crayons and coloring books. It was in the shade at that time of day and very nice to sit and enjoy a quiet area of the park for a few minutes before moving on.

This will be our 1st time at Flower & Garden too, can't wait. Hoping for pretty weather week of 3/10!

As I stare at the snow outside the thought of being at the Epcot Flower Show in a little over five weeks is warming my heart, now to shovel!

The only time that the parks are prettier is during the Christmas season. That said, most of the attraction is simply the beauty of the flowers and the awesome weather.

The butterfly garden is something that me and my boys dread. It gets too hot in there, and too crowded.

I'll welcome the heat...especially after sitting in this snow. I'm so sick of snow I can't wait for some sunshine and warmth. :beach:
