Really excited to be heading back to Disney.
I went on my first trip in 2017 when my ‘in-laws’ took me, my (then) boyfriend, and our (then) 3 year old son. It really was magical. My MIL is a big Disney fan and she did an amazing job planning to make sure I saw most major things for my first visit. Our first day we went to Chef Mickeys, and then wrapped up seeing Wishes from the Pirate Cruise/Dessert Party. I wish they still offered that! And we got engaged that trip! It was wonderful.
Growing up my mom was a single mom with some financial responsibility issues, but would bring me to the bank with her to deposit money for a Disney trip all the time. That money always disappeared and we never ended up going. So I was very grateful to they gifted bringing us on that trip. A tradition they’ve generously made with all of their grand kids.
Since we went we’ve been talking about going back, but it took a long time to get there because we were young parents, and I only worked part time for a long time, or when it was full time I was severely underpaid. Now that our son is a preteen, and we both work full time, and are in a much more flexible financial position so with saving, combined with doing a timeshare presentation at Orange lake has made it more attainable to finally get back!
We’re going 5/7 - 5/14 and have 4 days of park hoppers at WDW and 4 days park-to-park at universal. Excited to be down there for my birthday and Mother’s Day. °o°
