New to DDP and need help.

Hello, this is my first post and i need some help. My family and I are going to DW in August and we are going on the dining plan. Can you explain how to use it for me. we have picked what resturants we want our TS at and I know that we need to make reservations for them.

So when you go into a resturant or a counter service do you tell them you have the dining plan?

Do you have to eat off a special menu or is it marked on the regular menu what you can eat?

do we give the people our dining card when we go so they can take off that credit. Is it the room key or is it another key?

we are very excited about going b/c we have not gone in 11years and dh has never gone and either has our son who will be 1. But we just did not want to go down there and not know what to do. And if you have any tips for someone that has not been on the ddp before I would love them.

Do you have to eat off a special menu or is it marked on the regular menu what you can eat? - Regular Menu - at most places you can eat everything. There may be one or two exceptions to this at the 100+ locations at all of WDW, and any exceptions will be noted by your server.

do we give the people our dining card when we go so they can take off that credit. Is it the room key or is it another key? - It's your Room Key (or KTTW card as it's often abbreviated)
