New Ticket Options--would this work?

Do you know if, with a package, you can choose any ticket length? Or does it need to equal the number of days you're staying like the "old" UPH passes? For example, if I'm staying 5 nights...can I buy a 10 day no-expiry ticket? How about a 4 day ticket?

Another question.

One of my coworker is arriving in Orlando the day we are leaving. I intended to buy a 4-day Park Hopper but now I am not sure. Would it be possible to buy a 7 day Magic Pass and pass this to my co-worker if there is a day left or one or 2 admission to pleasure island??

If you are buying the package because you want the meal plan. than yes, # of days on ticket must be equal to nights booked for resort. If you don't want the meal plan, you can buy a MYW ticket for more nights than you are staying and just pay for the no expiration option.

As for sharing MYW ticket, officailly all tickets, including current hoppers are nontransferable. I am reading on these boards that the tickets will now need a biometric scan but can find it anywhere on the TA site. I do have a Disney training course on these tickets on Tuesday and will report any new findings.

Sandy, Thanks for helping all of us with this. I was hoping for a suggestion on my situation.

We have a room only at POFQ for three nights then hop over to BWV using points for three nights. Will we be able to buy a ticket option with dinning for the POFQ portion? IF so how many days will that be of park tickets and meals? We are arriving later in the day so I don't think I would want to pay for meals or tickets for that day. Will they be considering dropping the first or last day for the package plan?

Also, we have left over park hoppers from various trips and were planning on using these but the meal option sounds so good. Is it even possible to turn in the old hoppers for credits towards the new ticket/dinning package? If so how would I do that? Thanks for all your help!

I have been waiting since yesterday morning for a supervisor to return my call from the TA desk. No one seems to know what meals you will be entitled to on checkin and out days (full or partial). I will post on Monday when I hear.

Room only nights already booked can be converted after 1.2.05 to a package with dining. The are supposedly not allowing a first or last day drop.

Yes, old hoppers can be upgraded by only for a new MYW ticket not a package. My suggesiton would be plan your higher price meals to fall during one hotel stay or the other and get the meal plan for those days. Use the old hoppers and a "pay as you go" approach for dining on the second half of the trip. I think you will come out ahead of the game that way.

Good luck
Sandy

I was surprised to learn about these new ticket options. I spent several hours last week researching prices for our January trip. I guess I better hurry up and buy them now because these new prices are significantly higher for us (3day PH x4 @$645.00 vs almost $800)!! :worried:

Yes, the new tickets are really quite a substantial price increase for shorter stays. But for longer stays, or if you buy a longer ticket with a no expiration option and use it over two trips, there are bargains to be had:
If you buy a 7-day MYW hopper ticket and get the no expiration option, you will have 4 days to use for your next trip, and the cost would be $1112, which is only $470 more than what you are paying for 3 days now.

I am staying at BWV for 7 days and I only wanted to but a 5 day pass bc I knew we'd be doing other activities the other days (golfing, waterparks, surfing, DTD, etc.) and wouldn't be going to the parks. After reading about these new tickets I'd really want to buy the base ticket for 5 days with the hop option and the meals option. Does anyone know if I'd be able to do this for only 5 days since I'll be there for 7??
:wizard: :wizard:

i believe you could do the meal option for only five days if you book it in two separate reservations... checking in/out on the appropriate day...

Once you use the ticket you can't give it to someone else. Your fingers are scanned and in the computer that ticket belongs to you.
