New Thread - What have you seen on the EA?

I got a red plymouth vibe station wagon on side A on 4/27/05. There were a lot of cars including several full size. I picked th vibe because I needed the trunk space. Got great gas mileage too. I drove from Orlando to Fort Lauderdale on less than one tank of gas.

Just returned home today.

I was on side B at 9:30am on 5/13/05. There was 1 Pontiac Vibe, but mostly Malibus and Pontiac G6's.

We selected a brand new G6, only 6.7 miles on it! Nice car, but nothing special.
My in-laws took the Vibe.

May 10th B side around 3:00 p.m. we saw mostly Chevy Classics and Malibus, a few Pontiacs, 1 PT cruiser and 1 Vibe.

May 20 11:30 P.M. on the "B" side there was nothing. People were standing around wondering what to do. My DH asked the attendant who told him to take something from the Executive Aisle. There were 2 cars that we weren't interested in. The attendant asked my DH what he was hoping for. My DH said a mini van and the attendant said go ahead and take one! He picked out a brand new Buick Terraza - it's really nice! Not bad, a mini van for 15 days for $214.00 total!

Arrived May 15th about 2pm. The aisle was full on side B. 4-5 G6's, 4 Impala's, and the rest Classics. Took an Impala for the 6 days and paid $97.

Friday 5/27 (EA) had plenty of Vibes and G6s and the Executive Aisle had Impalas and Malibus. No SUVs in either. But at least there were plenty of cars in each aisle.

Hey folks!!

On Wed, June 1st:B side, 10:15 AM

There were about 4 or 5 G6's, 3 Vibes, and a couple of Malibu's.
We took a nice light blue G6!

I rented 5/28-6/1 and walked around looking at each one before choosing. I can tell you that there were mostly mid-size cars available. They had Chev Malibus and Pontiac Grand Ams or Grand Prixs, I think Grand Prixs. I chose a new Pontiac G6- it had 1100 miles on it and it was very nice. I liked the convenience of choosing, then driving right out to the drive up booth to complete paperwork. Very convenient, wish I could say the same about MCO- they have GOT to do something about the signage!

6/3 10:30am A-Side.

EA was full all Malibus and G6's. I found a Malibu Maxx since we had 4 adults. 4800 miles, but we love the Maxx for the space and comfort.

Wondering what size car would be best for us to choose- we will be 2 adults and 3 teens, will be spending 6 days in Orlando and then driving to my sister's near West Palm Beach where we will leave from. Currently have a full size booked but think I could save about $10.00 by going to EA with the intermediate hopping to get a bigger car on arrival. We will need a fair amount of trunk space, We will probalbly have 3-4 suitcases plus some carry-ons. We arrive at 10:30 am on Friday June 24th. Are there usually a good amount offull size or larger vehicles availabvle on EA, what about minivans?

Thanks for your input!!

Sounds like you need the space of a full size car for your people and luggage. While bigger cars do appear at times, you mostly find intermediate cars on the EA. I have heard that it is very rare to find a minivan on the Aisle. I don't think saving $10 over 6 days is really worth the risk of not getting a car that is big enough for 5 people plus luggage.

janetv, thanks for your input! We'll probably stick with the full size. Just wondering the difference in size of vehicles considered intermediate vs. full size ones.

We arrived at the EA around 8:45 on 6/2/05, and every parking spot on the Aisle had a car in it. We chose a white G6 with remote start and leather and the funky sunroof. It was really nice. I never thought I would like that remote start, but getting that air conditioning going early in 95 deg heat is a definite plus.

There were a lot of Malibu's and PT Cruisers in the aisle that day, too.

Sorry I did not notice what was on the aisle on our return, we were running a little bit late.
