New Thread - What have you seen on the EA?

Has anyone used the Entertainment coupon ($20 discount) using EA lately? Does exit attendants at National ask for these coupons? I booked EA using the Priceless Travel and the Entertainment book coupon codes but I don't physically have the Entertainment book coupon.
Should I re-book using another code or take my chances at the gate?

I am under the impression that the gate attendant will ask for the coupon so here is a link to the Entertainment coupon #10009123 that you can print. No need to buy the whole book.

They will absolutely ask for the coupon.

My husband and I arrived around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 9th. On the Emerald Aisle there were approximately 8 Chevy Malibus, 2 Pontiac Grand Ams, 1 Dodge Stratus, and 2 Pontiac G6s. We chose a Pontiac G6.

I just became an EA member. Can anyone tell me how I use the Contract ID#6600330 and the EA at the same time? It looks like it goes into the same spot. I am also going to use the Enter. coupon.
Also, I already have a great ressie. Has anyone ever called and gotten someone to just add the EA membership onto a ressie they already had? I was told that I would have to redo it. She was not nice at all.
There has to be a way to do that. Right?

Thanks,
Kris

All you have to do is log in as an Emerald Club member and then if you want Emerald Aisle service, you have to book an Intermediate, or else you'll get Emerald Reserve service (all other sizes). With both services, you get to bypass the counter.

When trying for discounts, you just put the contract # you want to use in the contract spot and the coupon # in the coupon spot and then see what price you get. You WILL have Emerald Club service as long as you are logged in. The contract/coupon you use has NOTHING to do with it, unless you want to use an upgrade coupon; then it will make you go to the counter.

I hope I explained it without confusing you more! ;)

Oh boy, I just read that you already have a ressies. Sorry for not reading the whole post first!! Your only recourse is to call National and see if they'd be willing to add the Emerald Club to your ressies. There is no other way except canceling and rebooking logged in as an Emerald Club member.

As far as the first question, sign in to the Emerald Club, then change the contract # already there to the 6600330. When you confirm, it will state that you can proceed directly to the EA to choose your car.
I am not sure about changing an existing reservation personally, but I think you need to call and they can attach your old reservation to the Emerald Club number.Good luck!! :wave2:

beattyfamily- thanks. I tried what you said and there was a number already in the contract ID spot. Do I just get rid of that and type in my contract ID? I was afraid that would mess up something.

I was wondering if anyone had ever had luck getting someone that would just and EA to their ressie? Any luck out there?

thanks,
Kris

Impala's everywhere. Reserved and EA.

We've driven so many Impala's lately we've gotten a bit hooked on the model. They have great pick up and are a really smooth drive. :flower:

I had an Impala twice last year and loved it. Hoping to get another one 2 weeks from Saturday, I booked emerald reserve full size to better my chances (about $6.00 more than EA).

1. We will be flying SWA 12/2005 and are wondering after we get our luggage will be be closer to National A lot or B lot?
2. Also, how far a walk is it from the luggage claim area to the EA lots?
3. Will we be able to take a luggage cart with us from the terminal to the EA? We will have a fair amount of luggage, 2 kids and a car seat with us.

Any info. would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Southwest uses the A side of the terminal.

Not sure of the length of walk from baggage. Most have said not too long. I think you go down a level, and then across to the parking garage.

You might consider having one adult stay with the kids and get the baggage from the baggage claim, while the other adult goes over to National to get the car. By the time you gather up the luggage and head out the door, the person that is getting the car should be done and will be able to pull up to the curb and you can load you bags in the trunk and get your car seat set up. That's what we did a couple of years ago and it worked out great! We saved time by splitting up and didn't need to worry about lugging all our bags over to the EA lot with a couple of kids.

That might work for you, but I don't trust :rotfl: DH to pick out a "nice" EA car. We will have to all go over together. And I can't go since the car ressie is in his name.

Have you ever seen luggage carts taken from the terminal over to EA? And how far a walk is it???

Thanks

Too funny! I'm the same way! I MUST get to pick the car! That is part of the fun!

What we do is all go get the luggage, get a cart, and wheel everything to the car of our choice (yes, you can bring the cart to the rental cars) and then we load up and go!

Riu Girl, there is an evelator and there is a luggage cart rack at the National area in the garage. So load up head down to level one, walk across tothe garage, take the elevator to level two and head left out the the elevator to the national area, pick the car, load up, send hubby back with the cart rack(near the elevator) then head to the check out booth,, have a great vacation!!!!!!

How about Delta? Can someone tell which is closer, Lot A or B? Thanks,
Kris

Delta is on side B.

Just follow the signs, easy to find.

Hi Guys,

First time using the EA and I was wondering...
1. which side seems to get better cars (PT's, Convertables etc.)?

2. I have no check in bags so which is a shorter walk from Northwest gates?

Thanks Alot
