New theme park in WDW!

Horse Hockey.

Yes, very old news (pure rumor,) and, with the economy the way it is...

don't hold your breath. ;)

I've heard this being thrown around in a few places, no idea if its true but I think its unlikely.

I really hope disney starts to work on a new park soon though

you can actually see the date as part of the URL.. Feb 15, 2008.

That article was dated Feb 2008 and nothing has been reported about it since then that I have read anywhere. I don't think it is going to happen!

Good thing Ive got you all to give me the truth. I had noticed the date but it didn't mean much to me. I figured the recession slowed things down.

I would love to see another park coming. It has been 10 years since AK opening, I think it is time.

Actually, Jim Hill himself updated the story here.

Cliff notes: Major rethinking of what is still a very "pie-in-the-sky" concept.

His info is "released" as gospel.

Then, most of the time, it's just plain WRONG.

(You'd think Jim Hill was a TV weatherman!) :goodvibes

or arguably all media. sometimes news agencies want to be the first to report something, so they tend to ignore the fact checking process.

With Disney spending many of its theme park resources fixing the California Adventure fiasco, I doubt a new theme park will hit WDW any time soon.

Ol' Disney would have to dig deep in his walet to find enough money to build another park.

That old rumor's a couple of years old, isn't it? I'll believe it when I see it.

Shouldn't this go to the Rumors and News forum?

I've moved this thread to the Rumors and News board.

Unfortunately, Night Kingdom/Jungle Trek isn't going to happen anytime soon. If at all.
