Any ideas when they will be taking ADR's for the new restaurant?

Our son celebrates his 13th birthday in early November while we are on holiday and we would love to take him there as a surprise

THey are supposed to open in late October/early November(I know they 'll be open for our Nov 7-10 trip) but are not taking any reservations till after the first of the year, just walk ups. Good luck!

They aren't taking reservations until January 2009. Until then it will be walk up only.

There is no official word whether you'll have to call the restaurant directly or be able to reserve through 407-WDW-DINE once they are taking reservations in January.

They will not accept the DDP or the DxDDP. They will, however, accept the Premium, Platinum and Wine and Dine packages.

I am sooooo excited about T-Rex. Unfortunately, no ADR's are being accepted. They are doing walk up only! I called Disney Dining for weeks, and was finally given a straight answer. This may change in 2009, but as of right now it is walk-up only. Hope your son has a terrific birthday!

Thanks for that I think this will be fine 'cause we are going for 2 and half weeks if we can't get in on his birthday we will have plenty of other opportunities

Has anyone been to the other one and been able to use Landrys Gift card, like the ones thru mypoints?

We were going to Rainforest Cafe but I know DD would love this place!

I used a gift card on Sept. 16th at RFC, and it had TRex listed on it, so I don't see why not. Anyone know if Safari Club members will still get priority seating, or will they have a different program for TRex?

I emailed the T-Rex team to find out about opening, reservations, and the dining plan...here is the reply I JUST received in my inbox...

Thank you for your inquiry for T-REX Orlando! We are currently under construction but are planning to open our doors this October after Columbus Day. We will be on a walk-in basis only until 2009. The date we will start accepting reservations has not been determined at this time. You may call 407-828-TREX for any updates. T-REX Orlando will be accepting the Premium, Platinum and Wine and Dine Disney Dining Programs for those with dining plans.

While you are in the area, don't forget to check out either one of our two Rainforest Cafe locations at Disney World!

I AM SO EXCITED!!! Ok, albeit I can't reserve a table. That is alright, I will survive. There is lots to do around there! Even a 2 hour wait is ok by me! But THEY ARE ON THE DINING PLAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hold your horses - the platinum and premium plans are separate programs from the Disney Dining Plan. These plans include park tours, resort recreation, Cirque du Soleil tickets, and other events and items as well as dining. They cost well over $100 per person per night.

T-Rex will NOT be accepting the regular or deluxe dining plans.

Oh im so confused. I have never even heard of those dining plans. lol It's not the end of the world, but it just sounded as though the dining plans could be used.
