Did anyone else receive a request to complete a survey to possibly be chosen to complete in a focus group?

What I found interesting is that when I stated I was a passholder I was disqualified from the survey

It appears they are looking to see what people think about genie plus but only if you're not a passholder

Same. I knew when I hit AP holder on page 3 and it zoomed to page 25 that they just didn’t care to have APs in the focus group.

No doubt the survey is targeted to a specific type of customer. AP holders have different needs than the general public.
I don't disagree with you other than when I changed my answer to not being a passholder, it asked about my experiences using genie+. I would think that having opinions from everyone who uses that system would be important. Perhaps they just filled their quota prior to my response

I got one too, I'm not an AP holder and went through all 25 questions. It also asked about other parks, Ive been to Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Word, how often Ive been to Disneyland California, when my last visit to Disneyland California was not including my most recent trip. I'm not holding out any hope though, as when it asked for my location I put Dublin, Ireland.

I'm a market researcher who conducts surveys and focus groups for a living. In fact I'm a former WDW cast member who ran surveys and focus groups like the one you are discussing for many years. I work for a different company now. I can tell you it has nothing to do with not wanting to hear from all of their customers. Different research projects have different objectives so they need to hear from different groups of people. In this case maybe they are trying to learn ways they can help guests who aren't APs become APs. So they fact you already are an AP means it wouldn't be helpful to speak with you. While working for Disney I did plenty of projects where I needed to talk to only APs, or only DVC members, or not DVC members, etc. I wouldn't read into that you were screened out. You just don't fit the parameters of what they are looking for for this one research project, but you might on a different one.
