Does anyone know if these additions are ONLY for the summer or will they continue throughout the year? I was planning on a December trip but I would really love to see these new things. The "Magical" firework show wounds amazing!!!

The new fireworks is a long-term replacement for RDCT. So it is not temporary.

I would like to book a last minute trip June 3rd to the 7th. Which we will miss the summer activities starting June 12th. Does anyone think I should change my dates to June 10th to the 14th? We have a conference in NYC and will be leaving June 26th for 10 days. I don't want to go on two trips back to back so I need to be sure I have some time between trips.

The new Fireworks is a temporary replacement until the 55th Anniversary show.

As of now, and as hinted in the press release, the new show is summer only, but I expect it will last at least until the 55th Anniversary show.

Elements of the show, such as the new Dumbo, I would expect will carry over into the 55th Anniversary show.

Here's hoping Remember returns in the fall, but I doubt it...

Great!!! So......what is going on only for summer (the "Nightastic Promotion)???? It says June 12th - August 23rd

The fireworks, Main Street Electrical Parade and the Tomorrowland dance floor are summer-only. I would assume the Tinker Belle night time hours are as well.

Only the Fantasmic! changes are permanent.

Whether the new Fireworks show continues after summer, or Remember returns, is not yet announced. However, I fully expect that Magical will continue, we just don't know for sure yet.

I'm guessing that the the ELP will continue on weekends as well. They would not spend all that money renovating it if it were only for 2 months.:confused3

It would be soooo wonderful if you are right, but historically, ELP comes back for the summer only.

Can anyone provide a guess at what time of day the fireworks and EL parade will start? I am trying to plan dinner times with enough time to see both.

In December, the Electrical Parade (in DCA) should be running around the Christmas/New Year's time frame, but in early-Dec. it usually isn't shown on the weekends.

Here's the calendar from Dec. '07:
(The calendar for Dec. '08 wasn't working.)

In addition to the summer (mid-June to late-Aug.) and Christmas/New Year's, the Electrical Parade is usually shown during spring break (2 weeks), and on weekends in the spring.

Based on previous calendars, here’s some general information about the Electrical Parade (DEP) in DCA:

Jan.: Not shown after Christmas/New Year's
Feb.: Not shown
Spring Break: Shown nightly (2 weeks)
March: Shown Fri., Sat., Sun.
April: Shown Fri., Sat., Sun.
May & early-June: Shown Fri., Sat., Sun.
Summer: Shown nightly (mid-June to late-August)
Sept.: Not shown after Labor Day
Oct.: Not shown
Nov. & early-Dec.: Not shown
Christmas Week / New Year's: Shown nightly (mid-Dec. to early-Jan.)

Be sure to double-check the schedule on the official calendar:

Hope this helps. :earsboy:

The Electrical Parade (in DCA) should start at 8:45pm.

The fireworks should start at 9:25pm.

In a couple of days the official calendar should start to include the times for Magical and the Electrical Parade.
