I saw a picture from a different thread showing Mr. Incredible "popping out" of some type of thing with smoke around him. Does anyone know where on the parade route this occurs? DS is a huge Mr. I "freak" and it would make this little autistic boy's entire Disney trip. I would like to position him along the right place in the route to see this.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know specifically if you have to be at ONLY one spot to see the performances of "stopped sections" of the parade.
It doesn't seem like they would design a parade where just a few lucky guests would get to see the special actions and the rest of the watchers would miss-out.

Need to hear from those who know this parade either from DCA (its former park) or DHS.

In general, the parade route starts near the main gates (near Sid Cahuenga's "One-of-a-Kind" Shop) then moves towards the Great Movie Ride (big sorcerer's hat) where it turns left and heads on past Star Tours.
Then, it finally exits at a gate near to MuppetVision 3D, a bit past Tatooine Traders.

Many guests like to stand near the "left turn" area in front of the big sorcerer's hat, so they can see it make the turn.
I've got to think that this area would be prime viewing.

there are three spots where the parade stops, they are hard to describe, it will be a lot easier to ask a CM or two there to get a better idea where to stand. They have stuff roped off in a funny way for this parade, I see why they needed to practice this several times.

Does/would this cause "problems" for guests who are NOT standing in "the right place" to see particular popular "actions?"

I'll guess that there will be SOMETHING that does happen near you, regardless of your parade-watching spot, but there might be PRIME areas tht would be in demand as guests become more familiar with the show.

(BTW, you need not sing your response in iambic pentameter , but puppets would be nice.)

the area is large where "stuff" goes on... but a lot of people are kinda surprised at how quickly the parade moves from one performance spot to another. I wasn't paying close enough attention the first time, it will take a few research trips to figure out the stopping points and prime view areas. I will take donations to do the research.

Can I be your assistant?

I am leaving for a two day research trip at noon. You are welcome to come with.

DHS is not on this trip... This trip is mostly about playing hide and seek.

can't really give you an exact answer. it happens out of a large cone, there are at least a couple of them (each with different incredibles characters) between the main floats. to be honest, if you don't see him, you won't be missing much. more important would be to visit the incredibles themselves at the animation building.

ETA: okay, I was checking my photos from DCA. I have one shot of him and it looks like he's actually coming out of a block (but i don't have much to go on). all i know is it's after monsters, inc. but from that particular performance, i don't have any pictures of a bug's life so i'm still not sure exactly where he is.

I was not impressed with the whole thing. We were at a location near the end of the route. It was the 3rd stopping location. We had no idea what to expect since we had not seen it before. We could hear things for a while while we waited a very long time for it to reach us, but could not see what was going on. When it finally arrived to our location it was very energetic and fun. It was just not what I expected. If we knew what to expect we would have waited over by the Sorcerer's hat. I think the show would been best seen from there.

I think they changed up the order of the floats from DCA.

surely when the front float stops for the first 'performance', all floats behind it also stop. threrefore as long as the parade has reached you by that point, then you will see a 'show' regardless of where you are along the route; you'll just see a diffent float to someone further along. i've heard the best place to view from is hollywood boulavard, nr drew carey (but shhh; don't tell anyone;) )
