New Sorcerer Pass - Does it require a blue member card?

They most definitely are not at 100%. There are days where the park seems normal and other days where you look around and wonder where everyone is.

That said, it doesn't have to be at 100% to have the same effect. If it now costs me $1399 for the incredi-pass to get Christmas week, a week I go because I have a guaranteed week. They are in effect limiting my decisions. Sure, I could give up the premium I paid fo the week and use it another. But the reality is now I'm bumped up to the incredi-pass or forced to buy at the higher price point. So while not at 100%, they'll be able to convert me to a higher revenue customer.
The DVC Gold pass has always had Christmas week blocked out. Granted, the Platinum passes were cheaper before, but a Gold AP would have never gotten you Christmas week in the parks.

Your second part is exactly right. I never referred to the gold pass. The platinum pass was $899, that's a huge difference to the incredi-pass.

If we're talking Gold pass there's plenty of people have thanksgiving week that are in the same spot. If you were paying ~$700 for a gold pass before you now need a $1299 incredi-pass. That's even harder to swallow than where I was at for Christmas week.

Point is the park doesn't have to be at 100% to force a lot of these conversions.

If you sign into your DVC account, there's a help & contact link and you can fill out your feedback there. They actually do call you back. They are collecting feedback regarding this issue. I'd suggest if this is important to you to actually contact them in some fashion.
My Guide suggested I send the feedback to DVCMemberSatisfactionTeam@disneyvacationclub.com so that's what I did.

For my family, we have a Guaranteed Week at Thanksgiving, and the Gold Pass - $765 new, $650 renewal - would cover us. The Sorcerer pass at $957 new and $813 renewal is what the Platinum Pass cost - but the Platinum Pass had no blackout dates, and included Memory Maker. Now, in order to go to the parks over Thanksgiving, we need to pay for the Incredi-Pass, which is $1383 new and $1175 renewal, and while it has no blackout dates does NOT include Water Parks & More OR Memory Maker -- so it's $320 MORE than the DVC Platinum Plus which was no black out dates AND Water Parks and More AND Memory Maker.

All that aside, it now costs my family $618 per person new, $525 per person renewal, to go to the parks during our guaranteed week -- and we have been making that an annual extended family trip where we bring extended family with us. Now we are completely rethinking that strategy, and whether or not we keep doing Thanksgiving trips -- even though we have a Guaranteed Week. Certainly, we are reconsidering whether or not we will do parks at all, which means Disney will be out the residual spending we do in the parks between snacks/ice cream, meals, and souvenirs. They may not care, but this matters a lot to us. That's almost double the cost as it used to be.

If Disney sent out a guest survey today asking "What project at WDW would you like us to build next?" Beastly Kingdom would be my #1 answer. A Villains' land would be close behind. I'm not sure about a 5th gate though because they can't use most of Marvel.
Yes! Though what I'd really like them to do is expand on the idea of the StarCruiser hotel, and build Beastly Kingdom as an interactive park - think Evermore Park, but with all the tech-and-ride-magic that Disney can muster. :) And figure out a way in that park to bring back the Adventurer's Club as the "hub." ;-)

Ah, well, a girl can dream, right?
