New Smyrna Beach hotel?

Not sure if this is the right place, but has anyone stayed at The Chateau by the Sea in New Smyrna? I think there is another resort named this in Cocoa Beach, but I am interested in the New Smyrna resort.

Thanks! Figured someone here may have stayed there before a Disney cruise.

I grew up going to New Smyrna as a kid and it is a wonderful beach to visit. Chateau is a condo complex right next to the last vehicle on ramp and it has been there many years. I would guess it is fairly typical with the other condo buildings on New Smyrna with nice rental units with kitchen, pool, rinse shower, parking for guests only, etc. It is right on the beach but be aware that people can drive on the beach and park in front of that building. If you were just to the south of that on ramp area, cars are not allowed to drive on that section of beach and it tends to be a little less crowded. (also safer for younger kids due to cars not driving back and forth)

As we owned a condo at Errol by the Sea, I have not stayed at this complex but most are all about the same.

Thank you! DH and I are thinking about turning our WDW vacations with the kids into more of a beach and WDW vacation now that it is just the two of us. I saw photos of that place and thought it was beautiful. I don't like high rise type condos, and I love more tropical foliage along with the water views. The area looks like a lot of fun, with plenty of stuff to do (we are lazy-bones, not into water sports, etc.).

Your place looks beautiful as well. I will keep that one in mind also!

Chateau is a good location. For some good tacos and ice cream, try Izzy's as it is right across the street from Chateau.
