New sites in Fort Wilderness

When I was there last I saw they were adding sites near the Meadows Trading post. Are those completed and how do they look? Anyone have pictures? Are they premium sites?

They are completed. They have very little shade, they are premium sites, and they would be my last choice at FW.

I don't like those sites either. I wouldn't want them even if they are located close to the Meadows. I'll take the 900 loop any day.

I'm not ammused. I have saved a lot for site 3025. I reserved it a couple months ago. It comes with peacocks, it's on the water, has a slice of private beach, close to the pool and has it's own dog park and is shaded with pine trees. It's beautiful.

Are we talking about the 600 loop? If we are, we stayed there recently. On the plus side, it's very easy for the bigger rigs to back in, it was close to a lot of the activities, it had a nice water view, and best of all, it kept out accordian playing hippies, see the sign. On the negative side, not much natural shade and because it's very close to the bus stop, it was kinda noisy at times.
I think the people with the bigger MHs that have the long awnings won't care about the lack of natural shade and those that like lots of trees won't like them. It's not my first choice, I stayed in the 900 loop the last time and it had a good balance, but I would stay in the 600 loop again in a pinch.

They expanded the 600 loop towards the Meadow Trading Post. The old established part is shaded, the new part is not.

I saw that new area when we were just there. NO SHADE! I would not want to be there in the FL summer. The lack of shade might be a blessing when it's cold out though.
