With all the new fall shows, is there one that pleasantly suprised you?

I really like Chase. It's the one about the U.S. Marshalls. I watched one episode and was hooked.

I like "Blue Bloods" a lot more than I expected, although it's not my new favorite show or anything. And "The Event" is really engaging so far, although I almost didn't want to like it in case it gets canceled before we find out what's going on with it (like with "Flash Forward" :headache:). We're kind of hooked on "Hawaii Five-0", too. And we've been watching "The Defenders". But those last two are about as good as I expected - no better, no worse.

Ohhhhh I forgot about Blue Bloods, I really like that one too.

Terriers on F/X. We weren't sure about it from the previews, but it has turned out to be one of our favorites for this year.

Detriot 187, has also suprised us. I didn't watch the 1st expisode, but DH did and I have watched with him ever since.

Of course our other fav, Outlaw, is being cancelled. I HATE NBC. They are trigger happy on the cancel button. But then again, CBS did it as well to Jimmy Smits when they cancelled Cane a couple of years ago.

I am loving Raising Hope and my dd watched a rerun with me and was cracking up the whole show! (she has my sense of humor finally someone gets me!)

Just saw this last night...found it very funny:lmao:

Just watched the repeat of the season premiere for Raising Hope and it was hilarious. I wasn't expecting that. I will definitely be watching it from now on.

I agree with some of you -- Terriers, Raising Hope, The Big C, The Event, Hawaii 5-0. I'm trying not to get my hopes up on any of them, that they'll last.

I actually really like $#!* my Dad Says. It is hilarious! Also really like the Event, but as previous poster said, would hate to have it canceled like Flash Forward and not know whats going on.

Mike & Molly on CBS. Very funny & the actots all have great comedic timing. And they don't revert to cheap "fat" jokes.

I can't think of a single breakout hit for me this year.

You picked my two faves!

Crap My Dad Says, which is what my son calls it  is only funny because of Will Shatner. He is the WHOLE show. Sort of like All in the Family. I will NEVER forget him doing "I'm Too Sexy" at the karaoke bar.. NEVER!!! :worship::worship:

I haven't watch Chase yet. Every time I see Kelli Giddish, it reminds me of when she played Di Henry on All My Children. I didn't think that she was a good actress at all then but it sounds like I should give her a second chance.

We watched Defenders for the first time last week and liked it. We liked According to Jim so we were sad to see it go. Being from the area, we like the Chicago references that they throw in. My DH liked the one about Chelios last week. DH has talked to him quite a bit when he works on his cars (he's a customer at the deal that DH works at). He told him about the lines a few weeks ago so I guess they must have let him know in advance.

Besides that, my favorite is The Good Wife. This is the second season for that and I hope it sticks around as long as ER did. ;)

Blue Bloods
Mike & Molly
The Defenders

It's refreshing to have some new shows to watch.

The only new show I've enjoyed is Hawaii Five 0. It just keeps getting better.
(Oh, and Boardwalk Empire, which rocks my socks.)

Raising Hope surprised me a lot. The promos for the show didn't interest me much but when I watched the pilot I loved the show and Martha Plimpton is very good a comedic role.

There are only three I can think of from the last two years that I really enjoy. That's saying a lot too because I watch a lot of TV. The Good Wife, Life Unexpected and Covert Affairs. Luckily for me, there are plenty of returning favorites.

A new one I'm looking forward to is Shameless on Showtime. I think it's going to be reaaaaly funny.

I'm still watching baseball but I did see The Defenders a few times and liked it.
