New shows that suprised you

There are only three I can think of from the last two years that I really enjoy. That's saying a lot too because I watch a lot of TV. The Good Wife, Life Unexpected and Covert Affairs. Luckily for me, there are plenty of returning favorites.

A new one I'm looking forward to is Shameless on Showtime. I think it's going to be reaaaaly funny.

So far (imho) The Good Wife is even better than last year. I haven't liked Life Unexpected as much this year but it's still ok.

I don't watch much TV but love Detroit 1-8-7 (up against The Good Wife). Started off watching a lot of the new stuff and I'm down to just this one.

Other than that it's the same old for me - Big Bang Theory, Friday Night Lights (when it returns), and NCIS Los Angeles (love that entire cast).

Haven't enjoyed Grey's or Private Practice this year - to the extent that I might stop watching and read a good book instead.

I know Glee isn't a new show but it is to me and I love it! I the first few episodes last year but never got around to watching them and my dvr was getting full so I erased them. I rarely get to watch live tv so I have to watch everything on dvr and it gets full fast. I am waiting until Black Friday sales to buy the first season on dvd, I always find good deals on box sets of tv shows then. I also like Blue Bloods and Hawaii 5-0, although I hate to get involved in new shows sometimes because it seems the ones I really like always get canceled!

We are entertained enough by Running Wilde to keep watching it, but that's it - it isn't great and we wouldn't buy it on DVD or anything. Nothing else this season is very good, IMHO.

Thank God for returning great shows like Castle.

Mike & Molly is the only one I can think of.

I've recorded all the episodes of Blue Bloods but have only watched the first one and it was just okay. I want to watch another episode or two before I make a final judgment on that one.

Most of my favorites from last year got cancelled, but I'm still watching The Good Wife.

Definitely Parenthood.

I was looking for a new series to get into so I thought I'd give it a shot. I fell in love with it. I have seen every show and just get more and more into it every show. I hope it is around for a long long time.

Anyone watching The Whole Truth? I was hooked after the first episode. I love that after the trial you get to find out if the person was really guilty or innocent despite how the trial turned out. I think the 2 lead characters have great chemistry.

Raising Hope just cracks me up! I laugh so loud my husband comes in to see what's going on.

I'm really enjoying Terriers. And I like Good Guys too, pretty funny.
Can't wait for the return of Psych.

The Big C

Good Wife is from last year so I can't call it new.

Boardwalk Empire is fascinating.

DISLIKES
Hated Hawaii 2.0 -OH did I mean 5=0?
Hated Running Wilde, Raising Hope was only mildly amusing
S%(& my Dad says- HORRIBLE
Blue Bloods- marginal
Undercovers-- stupid
Law and Order LA- give my back the original Law and Order..
the cancelled Jimmy Smits show-- barely anything to go on

POSSIBLES

The Event. It is somewhat interesting but I'm on the fence with it. Hate Blair Underwood in it.

My new favorite is from a bit earlier but it's still pretty new. I really liked The Glades on A&E.

Blue Bloods, The Good Guys and The Defenders are all very good. Over the Summer we liked Rizzoli and Isles and Covert Affairs.

The one that surprised DH and I is "Better with You" on ABC, you have to catch the series premiere it was (to us) hilarious.

I'm sorry for all those who like it, but I agree. Even after 4 episodes (I think) the redundancy of the plot is painful to watch. Too bad, I really wanted to like it.

We can't stand it. Not funny at all. I don't think we laughed once in the episodes we tried to watch. Just not our type of comedy, I guess.

I'm liking *&%$ my Dad Says.

And, for a relatively new show in it's 2nd season we love, love, love The Middle!

We are watching Hawaii 5-0... really like the characters but sometimes get frustrated with the situations (wouldn't you call for back-up??)

Enjoying the The Event but again, hoping it doesn't go the way of Flashforward.

We watch a lot of Sci-fi so are giving Caprica another try..hoping it moves faster than last season.

Still watching and loving NCIS and hanging in there with NCIS-LA another season. That one definitely got better throughout last season.
