New Shows on the Magic?? PLEASE!

Any buzz about shows changing on the Magic? It seems like Twice Charmed and Dreams (ugh!) have been around forever. Dream and Fantasy have had new shows within the last 2 years (actually 2 years and a couple of months for BATB on Dream). When is Disney going to show some love to the Magic?!!

Don't forget the Wonder has gotten Frozen. With the Wish on the way, most of their planning is probably going to be on shows for it. They might have something in the works for the Magic but until the Wish debuts, it may go on the back burner.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen anything.

Fantasy got a remake of Aladdin, but that's not much of a change (I've seen both). They added Frozen to Fantasy but that was already on the Wonder.

I would expect Magic to be next for a new or revamped show.

Fantasy got Frozen in 2019
Dream got Beauty and the Beast in 2017
Wonder got Frozen in 2016
Magic got Tangled in 2015

And yet they kept the awful 'Believe' on both ships. I think by now, we all know and/or have lost interest in what makes the garden grow.

I am so over ALL the shows that are NOT based on Disney movies!! Can't stand Dreams, Believe, Wishes, whatever else... We no longer go to see them. So on the Magic that only leaves Twice Charmed and Tangled - enjoy both but have seen them enough.

My worst scene is Cruella in Golden Mickey’s.

I enjoy Believe very much.

My all time favorite is Tangled! We had a great Mother Gothel once too!

Drams/Wishes/Believe/Golden Mickey's are all so contrived and formulaic, and the same formula at that. I know I'm in the minority - by a long shot - but I actually thought Villains Tonight was one of the better shows that they had. On a side note, for the Golden Mickey's, how quickly will they record segment with Chapek to replace Iger?

I don't think I saw Golden Mickey's but based on the timeline I must have seen Villains...

Thats interesting, I wonder are they changing the show for the European summer season. I will be following the personal navigators closely over the summer as I'm on The Magic in September

Oh wow, Marcus Monroe was on our Hawaii sailing in 2015, he's fun to see again.
John Charles was suppose to be on our WBTA last year, but we didn't make our scheduled stops in Canada due to a hurricane so he couldn't board. But we have seen him in the past too.

Nothing's wrong with Tangled. It's over 4 years old and we've seen it twice. I did mention/imply that I liked it. Twice Charmed has been around SO long. Disney cruise line blog says since July 1998!! Was hoping they changed that or Dreams.

The only time we've sailed on the Magic was in 2001. We have a cruise booked on her again for 2021. I'm looking forward to the shows on her. I didn't think I had seen Twice Charm, but I must have, just don't remember it. I feel the same about the Fantasy shows as the OP. Even though they changed Aladdin some, I'm tired of it. That's a negative of multiple trips on the same ship, seeing the same shows. And yes I know there are others things to do on the ship besides going to the shows, but my family enjoys going to them together.

I agree, we cruise a lot so have seen the shows many times on The Magic & Wonder especially.
Our evenings are usually the show, a drink at the piano bar, then dinner. I am always excited about or 7-14 nightly dates, before we have to go back to reality!
So something new would be great.
We have been doing the longer cruises lately, so then we get a little more variety, which is nice.
