I guess I understand the reasoning of breaking up the show and the new format, but the show today felt so short. Seemed like I just started listening and it was over. This is going to take some getting used to.

I'm listening now and am giving it a shot. I remember many people have been asking for a way to better organize and index the shows so they can find the information they need more easily. I am sure this solves that issue. It will be interesting to get a podcast piece everyday though. :)

I about passed out when I saw it was "only" 36 minutes ("who's sick this time") but then i saw the description and was ok with it. It usually takes me a day or two to listen to the whole show anyway. I like the idea of having longer segments.

Yeah, that's interesting. I guess I could just pretend that podcast day is over the weekend and download them all at once. Hopefully, it's just an experiment.

I kinda felt the same way. I listen at work so it helps the day pass when it's just shy of 2 hours long. I realize I'm getting the same length overall, it will just be over a couple days. I'll have to suck it up I guess.

I like the new format...IMHO..it gives me 3 days now to listen, it will easier to find certain topics.

Honestly , I'm not a fan of this new format.

I love the podacast and look forward to hearing it every week  , but I like to listen to it in its entirety. Like when I watch a TV show , I watch the whole episode at once , not in bits and pieces.

Ruins the flow of the whole thing IMO...

It's purely selfish on my part. My favorite thing all week is sitting down to enjoy the regular show. I get comfy, usually with a cup of coffee and just listen. I don't even answer the phone, it's 90 minutes of "me" time. What am I supposed to do with the extra 60 minutes on Wednesday now? Go to the gym or something? :rotfl2:

I don't adapt to change very easily. I am sure I will come around to the new format. I look at it as probably being easier for the team. The person who has to edit and post the show will have more manageable chunks and a better timeline to work under. If this is what they need to do to provide us with the fabulous podcast we are use to then so be it. I can't imagine where I would find the extra time on top of my job to do a podcast, plus edit it. I thank them all for doing it with such passion and joy.

Do any of you remember the first podcasts.....sometimes change is a very good thing.

Oh, I do! Yes, change is often a good thing- even if we have to be drug kicking and screaming to accept it!:rotfl2:

I like the fact that we will be able to look back, find and listen to certain topics that will always be pertinent. The news/housekeeping segments don't hold up as well over time- but I love hearing them when they are new and relevant!! :thumbsup2

I'm also not one that deals well with change.

I understand the reasoning behind it, and understand that it'll make it better for catalouging purposes.

But I don't really like it. I also listen to them through-out work and it really helps pass the time when I have a big long project to work on.

I just wonder how it will affect the flow of things between the team? Sometimes one of the funniest parts is the team picking on a fellow team member about something silly they said in the beginning of the show, or soemthing like that.

I'll be interested to see how the new format relates to that kind of thing.

I feel the same way. We selfish people should start our own support group:

"Learning To Live With Shorter DIS Shows"

(will work on the title...as Kevin is famous for saying "it doesn't even make a good anagram")

YES! Go to the gym. Or course, you want to go to the gym!
Before you go, download some other Disney podcasts. There are plenty out there to fill up lots of treadmill time.

I am catching up on all of the old podcasts. So listening to the new format I just found it weird. I just have to get used to it. Rolling with the change.
