New Show - Dating in the Dark

Did anyone else beside me watch Dating in the Dark?? I know I'm a sucker for these types of shows so I thought it was interesting. Was curious to hear what anyone else thought of it.

For anyone who hasn't seen it, it's a show about people who date in the dark so they can't tell what the other person looks like until they have had several (4 or so???) dates before they see each other and decide if they want to continue the relationship.

I also enjoyed seeing some of the activities they did outside the dating such as using the sketch artist to draw what they thought the other person looked like. Interesting that the guys had the best eye for that!

I'm also impressed that 2/3 of the couples decided to continue the relationship. I wish they would have done a little blurb at the end to tell if it really succeeded for a while or if it was all for show.

Yes I watched the show.....I actually found it to be quite interesting and I do feel bad for Seth. I thought he was a cool guy and I was really surprised that Christina left him. That really stinks!

I do look forward to more shows, its a good one and I think it really shows that if you can connect on a deeper level, it really shouldn't matter what the other person looks like.

It just started last night. It came on right after the Bachelorette.


I finally watched it. I really enjoyed it..It is an interesting way to meet people. We all have the notion that looks dont matter, but to some people it does. It is a cool show.

Before I met my husband I would of tried something like that(of course not on tv though)

I agree! It's sad that they have to watch the person walking away out the other door too.

When I searched 'dating in the dark' on the internet I found out there are places in real life that do this type of thing. Maybe that's where they got the idea for the show!

I felt bad for Seth too. I was happy the last couple met (Melanie and Allister) on the balcony. I was worried he was going to let her looks stand in the way especially after she gave him her family ring.

I thought she was actually kind of cute. And they seemed to have a connection. Hello the girl Seth was with wasn't that cute. And the picture she had drawn of him was pretty similar to what he looked like. I didn't think he was a troll. She has high expectations.

It looks like next week there may be more than one that is "average" in the looks department. I think they are all very brave to do it.
