Gee when I go to a federal building I am only screened once and my bag goes through an X-ray machine and no one puts their mits on my stuff. I am allowed to be unhappy about this crap that is going to impact the enjoyment of the 1 vacation I will have until next year. Again I know you seem to go to Disney all the time so it's no big deal but this a very expensive trip for me and I am not pleased with any of this. If I wanted to be a total witch I would tell my kids we are not going at all and go on the vacation that I want but I won't break my promise to them. But they have been informed that the next time they go they will be adults and it is in their dime and I won't spend another cent of my money on Disney and that is my prerogative.
bottom right of each post you want to quote hit the +quote, then when you want to reply "insert quotes"on your reply box. that should do itcan't seem to figure out how to quote several people in one post
Want security to go faster, one day disney may ban all bags, then the real outcry will occur. As I said for DH and I , mainly no bags. Grandkids,we have the stroller stocked with drinks, snacks, diapers, wipes, extra clothes, jackets, etc
yes there's a check on the pathSo if you take a cab/Uber to Contemporary then walk to MK (like we sometimes do) there will be a separate security checkpoint on the path to MK, correct?
The importance of the benefits you cite is the reason why I don't think this is actually that easy to do. Otherwise they would have done this already. My completely uninformed guess is that the chances are high. From what I remember regarding the monorail exit at EPCOT is it would take little effort to secure the exit. Checking the same guest twice for one trip means more work for Disney so it will reduce work for Disney as well as help the guest if they can do this
That's what i'm afraid of, and to be honest, its likely. Its the next logical progression in security. It would not surprise me if it hasn't already been suggested.
There is no way they can do this. Not with having families and diaper bags. They can limit foods, etc, if they want but they can never go to a no bag at all system. People couldn't take their diaper wearing children and that isn't going to be happening.Want security to go faster, one day disney may ban all bags, then the real outcry will occur. You are giving them credit for more forethought than I do. I'm not sure they've put the 2 and 2 together to think about Epcot. They were concentrating solely on MK.

a facebook "friend" works security and he made public that they are aware about the double checking for Epcot. I agree, they concentrated on MK without thinking things throughYou are giving them credit for more forethought than I do. I'm not sure they've put the 2 and 2 together to think about Epcot. Now that it's in practice and they see what's going on they'll look at Epcot
I doubt we will ever see Disney ding a no bags rule. There is no way they can do this. Not with having families and diaper bags. I do wish security/CM in the parks would be stricter with the rolling coolers being dragged behind I've seen way too often. Last year we saw a family with a wagon. It was a folding one with a canopy.

Oh, without a doubt. I'm very shocked they do still allow this. Glad for the folks that cart food around. It wouldn't shock me if they did stop it one day. I do think the odds are low they will since they haven't yet. Especially since allowing it directly hits their bottom line as it means fewer sales of food. I guess they've evaluated the fact that some would stop going period if they stopped outside food and keeping those guests more than offsets the lost sales from allowing outside food.I agree, they couldn't do no bags at all. I was just going to the extreme. But they could easily go to no outside food. We don't go to any other parks, but I think disney is rare with letting in outside food.
