Reminds me - my little cub is in a new summer camp group now and the teacher is so hilarious! She is an artist and musician - they do great art projects everyday that he . And every afternoon she teaches them songs - I told you guys about the Hee Haw song she taught them the first week .Well, the second week, it was Elvis - "A Hunka Hunka Burning Love!" And, now to top that? Today, he's in the car singing "Burning, Burning, Burning" - and then says "Mom, we learned Johny Cash today."

I love that teacher!

How's Winne PD? Better, I hope.

And yeah, I'd love to see Calf. also before it 1. falls into the ocean, 2. burns to a crisp from all the fires or 3. the aliens take it over!

It does sound like your son...errr cub... is having a great summer! Krista is in upper camp this year and is so excited about doing archery that she is being a bit of a problem for the counselor leading it. OUCH!! A bit grabby and to much me firsting! Before he is ready to even start.

Jeff is doing ok in it, but is having a few anger issues. Not lashing out at anyone but just putting his body in a real tight explosion mode and Agrh-ing...loudly.

Hmmm.. wondering how many "new & unknown" words I can make up, eh?

And yes, PD, how is Winnie? Have you gotten any reports back?

As for the fires, DH and I were in the hot tub the other night, and it was like a very fine snow coming down. My car is covered in ash, but with the drought, I'd rather use our water for the hot tub than for washing the car.

Ughhhh! No better. She had a 2nd MRI which came back clean and showing that her knee repair worked and nothing is retorn or anything like that, but she is in lots of pain and can't put weight on her foot. She is back in PT and they are running blood tests to see if it is Lyme or an infection or goodness knows what else! We go back to the doctor on Monday. We go to Cape Cod a week from Saturday and then WInnie goes to Lake Placid the week after that. Hopefully they will find out something that has an easy cure before that.

The great dismal swamp fires are getting us here. They are right across the NC border, but we have been getting all the smoke. So bad one day last week that the smokey haze covered the streets like smog.

We need the rain here too. Wonder if there is someway to pump it here from the flooded areas?

I was thinking the same thing. When I saw all those folks on the news packing sandbags, I thought, if only they could send the water over here.

That is so cute. My nephews are Johnny Cash fans too. You should here the 7yr old sing Ring of Fire. It is just too cute.


PD ~ Hope they find out what is causing Winnie to be in so much pain. Hugs to her.

Well got everything I needed to do done. Took dh's uniforms to the cleaners and a bit surprised at the cost it will be. But it will be up to him if I continue to take them or go back to cleaning and ironing them here at home.

Also went to Wally World to do some shopping. After I had to return to the house because I forgot my credit card on my desk that is I actually managed to get out of there for less $$$$ than I thought the groceries were going to cost.

Now I'm just playing around with my siggy and catching up on reading posts.

Yeah that would be a great solution! But then again, who would pay the cost of trucking it in? Or even the gas right now!

We are going to have trouble all summer with the Swamp fires. Seems it has gotten down into the peat bog or waht ever and the only way it can be put out is by a heavy continous rain storm or hurricane. <sigh> So we get to choke most of the summer or stink due to the way the winds blow. BLEAH!

Poor kid! I hate watching kids in pain just wanting to be able to "fix it" I sure hope they find out what is at the bottom of all of her pain, she deserves to have a nice summer vacation!
