New Route?

According to mouseplanet, part of a new route allowing visitors coming from the Florida Turnpike to bypass U.S. 192 entering WDW recently opened. Any details of this?

Using the Western Expressway (429) there is an exit to a roadway on the west side of the Disney property.

You would take the FL turnpike to 429 South.

This is really only a savings for if you are heading Southbound on the Tpke towards Orlando. If you are heading Northbound on the Tpke you should take your normal exits. You would have to cross over I4 near the Universal area and travel past the 408 to meet the 429.

How much quicker is it? I am thinking about taking it when we go in January, but we also really like going the long way to I-4, past Universal and then through the Disney Main Gate....it's a tradition.

Does it put you kind of near Coronado Springs?? We saw them building what looked like a road over by there the last time we were at WDW.
