We are staying at POP and when i made the ressy they said that we would be getting a room that had a kind bed and a double bed. There will be 4 of us one in a wheelchair and one with a walker. I haven't been able to get any pictures or measurements of this room and wondered if anyone has stayed in theses rooms?

I would call and double check exactly what you have a reservation for, because all rooms there are the same size and they don't have a combination like that unless you mean a room plus companion room.

This may be a new room type. Several people have posted about this type of room recently, although I don't recall seeing any pics or trip reports. Hopefully someone with more info will come along...

My reservation says the same thing. I called CRO to make sure that there is 2 beds in the room. I don't care if they're both doubles, just have to be 2 beds. Well the first CM couldn't answer so he connected me to POP and i spoke to someone name Laura. She also wasn't sure so she connected me to house keeping. They assured me that the room is indeed 1 king and 1 double. I had them make a notation on my reservation that i definitely wanted 2 beds with the roll in shower just in case.

When i paid off my room only i received the email for the reservation and when i checked it there is room number 1370 listed on there.

I asked over on the POP FAQ for you, just in case somebody there knows anything. I don't know what's in your private messages, so I hope I'm not opening up a can of worms or something.

HA with roll-in shower 1 King and 1 Double bed is available as a booking option so it sounds like that is what you have. When Disney have been refurbishing the HA rooms they have made modifications to allow for 2 beds in the roll-in shower rooms.

At, it's been a while since I've seen a Pop floor plan, but 1370 doesn't sound like an accessible room. Best of my recollection, this would be the third room in from one end/wing of building 1, near the bowling pin stairs. The accessible rooms are all - again, based on what I remember - closer to the elevators.

They are revamping rooms at all resorts to make different numbers of beds available for people who need an accessible room. Previously, the moderate and value resorts had rooms with only a king bed.
The rooms are in the process of being reconfigured to make 2 beds fit. Not sure if it would be king plus double in the value resorts - 2 doubles were what I had heard, but they may also have one with a king and a double.
If it gives that option in the booking, it would be available.

Sounds like they are making the bathroom smaller (taking out the tub, putting in a shower, would give about 2 feet more space into the bedroom if they replace the wall as well) to make room for a king and a double. There's barely room for 2 doubles in a regular room. One is right up to the door, the other about 2 feet from the bathroom wall. I guess they could make the table in between smaller, but that would make it very hard to manuever a wheelchair near a bed.

I would love to see pictures of this new room type.

Me, too. Unless they've knocked walls out and made 2 rooms into 1, I can't imagine how they would fit a king and a double, plus room for a wheelchair to get through.
