I haven't been to Universal for awhile. What new rides do they have. I think it's been 3 years. Also, new restaurants ect. Thanks! We are thinking about Oct. because of H.H.N. Any info on this year's yet? I loved that, and I'm a 57 year old grandma!!!

i am 16 years old... and i will tell you something... hhn was not all that scarry... the best one(in my opinion) has to be the one that the care taker was at... that house with maximum carnage was done really well...

sorry i do not have much info about hhn this year... but i will give it to you as soon as possible...

as for new rides and attractions...

they took out king kong to put in the revenge of the mummy ride, an indor thrill ride/ roller coaster(no loops, just drops and sharp turns...)

the have now closed the wild wild west stunt show for the new up-comming walk through/ride fortress dracula. there, they will be a small stunt show, a gallary of things from the movie, how they did the make-up and characters from the movie you can take pictures with....(frankenstine, dracula, the wolf man and van hellsing himself)

as for ioa... every thing is the same....

word is.. they might be changing dr. dooms fear fall to a real drop and not something that shoots you up...( you will go up slowly and then drop)

i hope this helps you alittle bit...

CR--do you have anymore details on the dracula area you mentioned? When is it scheduled to open?

they havn.t started the construction yet... i took a peek((i am so sneaky)) anyways... they are just starting to take down the wild wild west stunt stage...

i know that the one in california is open... and you can find more info on that by going to the universal web site, and looking at the one in hollywood.

they get the dracula ride first, and we get the mummy ride first... its to keep people going to both of the universals instead of the one they are closest to...

i think it should open sometime later onnext year, if bnot than before christmas... they move fast down there...

The old WWWSS stage is going to be Fear Factor Live not a Dracula thing. Universal is adding this to both Universal Studios. They will be picking people for the show as guests walk into the park. They have been saying that if you win you may get a spot for the real show. Not much info on the stunts that will be taking place. You can see some of the info on http://www.screamscape.com/html/universal_orlando.html

Robert is right. The WWWSS will house the Fear Factor Live. They even have up the logo on the poles now.

Shrek would be new to you also. No new restaurants at City Walk that I can think of but Motown did close. Margaritaville got a new area added. Royal Pacific may be new to you also and they have some terrific restaurants...Tchoup Chop, Jakes and The Islands Dining Room. Jimmy Neutron replaced Hana Barbera.

I have been wanting to make it to HHN for a while but havent yet. Have fun planning.

So, there is gonna be a Fear Factor Live exhibit? Will they make you eat bugs??? I think...I would like to watch... :magnify:

Jessica--I don't think they will eat bugs over at Fear Factor. Have you ever known a theme park to give away food? That may cut down on the concession stand profits! :p

BTW, when did Motown close? We were in there in December.

yeah they have been working hard to clear out the old WWW thing
i didn't know it was fear factor until i saw the yellow and black strips everywhere
anyway it should be cool

Very cute IMGONNABE40!! You young thing you!! I don't think they would do anything that would make anyone sick!!

:rotfl2: So true, silly me!

Motown closed sometime last month. I think its being replaced with a nightclub. May even be open now? Anyone....?

Thanks Phamton for the "no bugs" info! However gross food....That leaves a lot open to interpretation. Since it will already be in Universal....ahhh ok I will be nice! Monsters Cafe did come to mind! :crazy2:

Decades replaced Motown. As for Fear Factor it looks like the stage from WWS is still there. The only other thing that I saw was the logo on all of the poles. I was debating on going to the taping for NWO but when I saw it was until 11 I said no way.

some one who worked there told me that the wwwss stage was going to be the fortress dracula...

this is the first time i have heard of the fear factor thing... wow...

that is good, but also bad news...

I<3 Van Helsing....

but i would like to see the people get sick from eating all of those things...

They already have it listed on their map that Fear Factor is opening soon in the WWWS stage. I know first hand as an employee of Universal. People on message boards knows more than the employees know about what is happening in their park. This is true for all parks not just Universal.

I did the Van Helsing thing at Universal Hollywood. It was not that exciting. I think the Fear Factor experience will be an interesting diversion.
