Hello All, I was thinking ... It was amazing how Walt was really good at thinking "outside of the box." What if Walt was still here and he was thinking over new restaurant concepts/themes? I wonder what kind of cool and amazing eating places he would imagine? Please share.

That's tough (impossible) to say. The WDW that Walt invisioned opened up without ONE SINGLE decent restaurant, so it is hard to impute a significant focus on the culinary arts to the founding father. (At the time of his death, DL didn't really have any restaurants of merit either). It appears that Walt was satisfied with typical park food and "buffeterias". But we all know that Walt changed with the times, so I think it is fair to assume that as WDW evolved, he would have evolved with it. But I don't think that food services was his forte. I am sure that he would have ceded that planning and vision to someone else.

I'm not really sure what he would come up with. But I like to think that he would have something along the Rain Forest Cafe or T Rex line. With some of his famous audio animatronic creatures to entertain people as they ate.

Think T-Rex scale but Pirates of The Caribbean :thumbsup2

Wanna plus it? Make it a dinner cruise aboard the Pearl.

I could be an imagineer :yay:

Pretty sure the original idea for the Tiki Room was to be a dining room that had the show while people ate - so yeah, something akin to Rainforest or T-Rex would be my thoughts. :rotfl:
