New reserved location for Main Street Electrical Parade **now with Festival of Fantasy page 5 #99**

I just can't wrap my head around Disney's logic. Makes me wonder why they continue to serve substandard food when with improvements, they could easily turn Tony's around to make it a popular ADR. For whatever reason, Disney seems pretty content with keeping Tony's 'as is'. In my mind it is a missed opportunity. If having a spot to watch the MSEP was important to me, I would book the package regardless of the quality of the meal. With Disney planning, sometimes you just have to overlook something that you don't care for to get what you really want. I suppose this is what Disney is counting on.

And I called instead and was reassured that it must be a 'glitch' and indeed the dining plan credits may be used at 1 TS each.

Actually, it is not a matter of cooking "style". It is a matter of properly completing the dish or lazily not completing the dish. The chemistry and physical nature of the pasta itself demands that it be mixed with the sauce while still hot in order to properly absorb some of the sauce and become something more than it was before. When you order a cup of coffee, the server hands you a fully brewed cup. She does not hand you some ground beans and some hot water. Were she to do that, she would be handing you an incomplete dish, and there is no way that you could finish the process at the table in a way that would be as good as if the coffee had been fully brewed under controlled conditions. (However, if the server brings you a French Press with the water and coffee not yet combined, you could finish this off the right way, but you would have been given the proper tools to do so.) Same with pasta. The porous pasta and its accompanying starch is made in a specific manner to blend with the sauce to absorb it the way water mixes with the coffee grounds. Without a final mixing under heat, you cannot achieve the finished product. I suppose that a restaurant that ladles sauce on top could, if it wanted to, provide the diner with a warm bowl or a pan and heating element and allow the guest to mix the pasta and sauce together at the table. But have you ever seen that done? The other problem with the "sauce on top" error is that it almost always involves rinsing the pasta. Otherwise, the pasta would stick together in a clump by the time it got to the table since it hasn't been tossed in the sauce. The photo above of the "sauce on top" pasta certainly looks like it has been rinsed. And doing so removes the starch which is an essential element that allows that sauce and pasta to marry. While it is certainly the case that more restaurants than Tony's fail to mix the pasta with the sauce, the fact that the error gets repeated does not convert an error into a "style". My confirmation also says that the dining plan is not accepted. Boo.
So does mine, but I'm keeping it until we find out for sure. If it's not accepted, I'll cancel. But if it is, it's worth it to us. We were planning to eat there anyway, the kids want to.

I think the quick service Chinese place at EPCOT is very good. But many say it's just like Panda Express.

So I'm no food coniseur by any means.

But I thought Tony's was terrible.

Much like Stitch....I did it once and won't be doing it again....until I forget how terrible it is and try it again in 2035.
We think the QS in China is abysmal. The food quality was atrocious.

Just tried to book for Sept. I was told to call back later in the month because this was a new promotion and all the dates have not been linked.

My new reservation in my Disney Experience STILL states:

Select Disney Dining Plans Not Accepted

So I talked to a CM again. I was told this is because the Quick Service Plan is NOT accepted. Well duh - it's a Table Service Venue. Does Tony's Offer Counter Service? Is that the issue here?

And this all may be true but then why do things like the Fantasmic and Jungle Book Show state:

Your 2016 Deluxe Dining Meals Plan Accepted

Head Scratcher for sure... I stated it is confusing for the Guest reading it from our point of view.

I was told, yes I was correct. Well, thanks for that. LOL.

I finally got around to looking at this package in MDE. I have not read every post, so I was surprised to see the latest available time was 2pm; I thought it was a dinner package, but this is not even an option. Disney left no stone unturned; amazing. An ADR for lunch at Tony's was never super popular, but it will be as long as this package is offered...plus it won't interfere with any dinner ADRs. Best of both worlds for Disney.

Dear Disney,

Come on Disney THIS IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE! Get your IT department in order, retrain them ALL, create a responsibility chart, create a chain of command, create a communication network that goes both ways with Guest Relations, hire people who are capable of entering proper numbers into the proper locations in the code and by all means stop blaming your inept department errors to GLITCH. If you look up what a computer glitch means ..... it does not mean all the errors that you are currently and consistently performing.

First thing you need to get a handle on is CONSISTENCY, because it's really important to your business that you provide that. Guests paying the big bucks should be able to easily and quickly see the information needed to utilize their DDP.

When creating a new way to pay you for FastPasses ......... why not take another location doing the same and offer a consistent description .... this alone would save you hundreds of phone calls. AND drum into your Phone CMs heads that their job is to READ and KNOW the HUB. AND lastly allow them to say they do not know BUT will find out or forward you to someone. This might prevent the notebooks we could fill with CM fabrications.

Look at these. THREE DIFFERENT descriptions of DDP options for like offerings. THIS is why you have been getting a lot of phone calls. It's called POOR communications, inconsistency, poor content writers and we could go on and on. You desperately need to hire competent copy writers who check their work and create a consistent product.

We have "some DDP' then we have "DDP" and then we have ... no reference to "DDP" which was also implied in other correspondence to guests. So now these guests see no DDP online, their confirmations that are their only in writing say no DDP ..... your phone CMs, who are notoriously incorrect, say YES to the DDP. Guests are going to have to show up with nothing more than "a phone CM" said ..... COME ON they deserve better.

:headache: Rant over, for now.

It's a DINING package not a DINNER package ........ so lunch now goes from echos in the halls to money in the register. Brilliant.

We have always had a great experience at Tony's.

I'm sure you have but do you really think the quality of food of what you are being served justifies the cost? We ate there, and I couldn't believe what was being plated for the cost associated. It just felt very cheap...and we know Disney isn't cheap.

I booked online for Sept with no problem.
Really, that means I have to call again! I should of known better when I went into MDE and she switched my Tusker House ressie and told me she could not do it. Confusing because now I have 2 Tusker House Ressies for the same day!!

Did anyone do this yet? Is the FP location the old FP+ location? This dining hours offered don't fit into my plans, but if it somehow was a prime location to watch the parade, CTM and wishes, I might change things up a little.
