Sorry, another faxing question
... Faxing seems to still be alive and well at most resorts, correct? Anyone have some "insider" knowledge on the status of the "metamorphosis" described on AllEars nearly a year ago now? Technical-talk is OK by me
. Seems like an end to faxing would have benefitted everyone a long time ago.
What is it about the new system that makes faxing obsolete (you've always been able to make requests with CRO, correct)? Are some resorts on a newer system than others?
AllEars said:Disney's entire system of assigning rooms is currently undergoing a metamorphosis. Recently, the Disney Reservations Center (DRC), which is comprised of both the Walt Disney Travel Company (WDTC) and the Central Reservations Office (CRO), had a new reservations computer system put online. This program will mesh seamlessly with the forthcoming new property management computer system that the Disney resorts will be using. Once that resort program is online, the need for faxing room requests will be unnecessary at all the resorts.
