I sure would love to see them change the designs available every couple months. Maybe the printing looks better in person but on this photo that was posted it looks pretty grainy

the post this came from indicated that a cast member grabbed one from the back to show it off, and they weren't available quite yet.

I hope they have other mugs that focus on characters that aren't just pixar.

They should really have rotating designs of cups, I can't imagine they save too much money only keeping 4 at a time.

If they had more premium resort themed cups they could charge a premium for them!

If they were different even quarterly, people could look forward to that new cup design every time they go down.

We will be at POR on Sunday. I hope someone can confirm that the new mugs are at the resorts before we leave. I had planned to bring an old mug to get recharged.

That's a thing they can do? I had no clue and I'd love to create less plastic waste with mugs I typically just toss at the end of the trip since they are too small to be useful to me at home

We go in March and I'd love to come home with a design I don't have! I love the 50th anniversary ones
I think they will be all over the place by March.

I'd keep an eye on social media and these message boards. The picture I saw yesterday showed pink mugs on the shelf at Pop Century. You might have to go to a different resort to find one, but it seems like they're staring to make their way to the shelves.

They can, but it hinges on the chip in the mug still working. If the mug has been microwaved or put in the dishwasher, chances are the chip is ruined and you'll need to buy a new one. The cost to reactivate is the same as buying a new mug. If you're just going to toss them at the end of the trip, you could leave them in the laundry room/vending area of the resort with a note indicating how many days are left on them and maybe someone else can use them.

I'll save them now I know they can be reused if the chip still works! The next ones I buy will live next to my refillable Universal mugs at home

I'll mention that it seems like it's a 50/50 shot as to whether they are able to be reactivated. I've never tried it myself, I'm just going off of what I've read on message boards/social media. We have 2 big bins of Disney mugs in our basement. We have 5 kids, so the number of mugs adds up quickly. We did sell some at a yard sale and I've filled some with coffee and sent them on the road with houseguests. We're heading to Disney (with no kids) in May and I thought I'd just leave our new mugs at the resort when we checked out, but now that they're a new design, I'll need to bring them home and probably throw them in the bin in the basement. My DH does have 4 of them in the kitchen cabinet that he uses for coffee or tea every morning.

I had a refillable mug from a June trip that I was able to recharge at POR in October. My sister has been able to recharge the same mug twice. I handwash the mugs. The CM at the food court did not charge me, either. But that is no guarantee that it will happen again.

I'm here now, just bought my refillable mug Monday 1/27. The only offerings were the same design they've had for several years. And they had lots of them.

I wish they'd go back to resort-specific mugs. I have mugs from POP Century, AllStars, Coronado Springs (Pepper Market), Animal Kingdom Lodge, and POFrench Quarter.
Ah yes, the good old days!! I donated all of our old ones years ago! I have 2 in the house now and they do get used. I actually brought one along on my trip last week and just used it in the room since we had made a grocery delivery and had beverage's refrigerated.
