New Real VMK Pins this Week

Just a heads up to everyone, they did in fact start selling the pins early, but if you're going to start inputting the codes be weary, some of them are currently giving the Ace of Spades carpet, bringing back fond memories of the animator's desks...

Congrats for you! And thanks for the picture! But I want to make sure I understand this... you bought 9 boxes and got one of every 10 pins out... Forgive, but I want to make sure I fully understand how this works if you don't mind...

1) So you got 1 of each card as well?

2) Does that mean you got 8 extra pins/cards that were duplicates?

3) Was there any pattern to the contents of the boxes? So I mean for example each time you got a Ransacked Window Stitch pin/card did it always get the same other pin/card with it?

4) Would you mind listing the quanity of exactly which pins/cards you got in those 9 boxes?

5) Are the VMK items that look like the old Pirate Quest items the same? What are the new items? 3 new chairs? Any chance of seeing a picture of what those virtual chairs look like?

Thanks so much in advance. I am both an avid VMK player and a pin collector so I am really looking forward to getting these when they get to DLR next month.

There are two cards and two pins per box. I do have 8 extra pins and cards and trying to complete another set for my sister as a surprise gift and going to buy more sets for friends who play VMK as Christmas/Holiday gifts. There are no pattern to the content of the box. I had in those 9 boxes 1 of each pins and my extra pins have been 3 ship's bow chair,1 Flaming window, 2 Gold Treasure Chair, 1 Crow's nest barstool, 1 seagull's nest pirate hat.

I was going to put the codes in when Ace and slinkyman saved me and told me about the pirate treasure chair and ace of spade. I am a patient girl and can wait. I remember sending my sister the code for a new pirate room and all she got was 1 credit, lots of letters had to go to vmk to fix that problem.lol

My very first card was VMK Pirate Medallion.

Seems VMK actually wants people to pay park admission to get these pins...

How nice of you to also think of others like your sister and friends! I agree the layner is very cool! I Am very much looking forward to getting these pins when they come out at Disneyland next month!

It was USC Trojan my school almamater colors so I could not resist. LOL
I was in MK today. The pins were accidently released early in DD and as a result THE CODES ARE NOT ACTIVE UNTIL TUESDAY, I text Messaged most of my cental Florida friends and told them. The pins are not limited edition which means Disney will probably release as many as we will buy. Because of the VMK pins DD and I happened to meet a great family who play VMK.

Hi Everyone,

Slinkyman told me that 2 people posted elsewhere that they were able to buy the pins ar WDW yesterday. They are claiming that the pin store in Frontierland is selling them now. Please remember that this is what was seen posted. I did check and there is 1 Stitch Pin with flaming window card on Ebay and it is not listed as a pre-sale which leads me to believe that this person has the pin and card.

Interesting! I know they put them out by mistake yesterday at DD. We were asked by one of the suit guys who happened to be in VMK Central as we walked in later in the afternoon where we purchased the pins and he made a phone call to DD. We also were told by VMK central Cast members in the morning that the pins are not officially on sale until Tuesday and I was told not to input any codes. The pin place on Main Street did not have any VMK pins. We went back to DD to have dinner with friends and we purchased the remaining 4 boxes left at counter mixed up in a display with another collector surprise boxes.

I called Merchandise Guest Services to order them two days ago, and was told I had to wait until the 14th. I sent the link to my friend RiceOwl so he could order them as well. He called yesterday afternoon and ordered two boxes. What gives?

LOL. It seems Disney really messed up on the release of these pins! Or should I say their left hand doesn't know what their right hand is doing!! Maybe the reason is that VMK pins are in a very similar box as a collector pins that was released on 11/11. It seems to me that the DD and Frontier land pin location put the VMK display out by mistake and before they noticed, if they have, they sold many pins. I can tell you on Saturday there were 3 separate displays out in DD. Last night I could only find 4 boxes and they were mixed in a display with the collector pins. Disney Merchandising always tries to locate an item in the park and since there were 2 separate locations we know of selling the pins they should have been able to find them for you.

I just called again and told the CM that my friend was able to order them yesterday. Then she told me I could only order one box. I pointed out that he ordered two. So after taking ALL of my information, she said she would have to call me back! OMG!

I really want a set of these, but lucky me, I live so far away. If you order them, you get random pins and on ebay the prices are so high I really wish Disney would do something for VMK in the Disney Store. A place where everyone can visit. Not just the people who happen to live right next to their park.

Well that stinks, they have ever other pin! Dude..if they sold pins a WOD, do you know how many northerners, would be going and spending, And they aren't cheap either (unless you find the sales in the store, and sometimes that's not easy, especailly around christmas)

I really need to read this board more regularly. I was at MK on Saturday and Epcot on Sunday. I didn't even bother to look because it said release day of nov 14.
