New 'puter but much lost!

On the positve side:

I'm sitting here with a new 'puter that's about 6 times as fast as the old!
Listening to Jethro Tull on a new sound system! (Loco motive breath!!!!!!!!)

WeakER SIDE:

I've lost a lot of data including recent WDW pix! None of the "recovery software" seems to work"!!!!

I have a dvd that apparantly was not "finished" that I can't seem to recover!

Any suggestions???

Windows? What version? What happened to your old PC?
Did the hardrive fail????

as for the rest, put the old hard drive in the new computer to get the info off.
