New Possible Reason For No New Codes

I was just surfing the boards and found this thread and this one too, where they are discussing Disney housing some of the victims of Katrina. If this is true and the people stay for awhile, there will be little need for any codes to push the rooms. Just thought I would share this as a possible explanation for the lack of discount codes. I have read those threads but I heard from several cast members that its only 50 rooms they have aloted for this. But I also heard new AP rates would be out.

P.s. You could also look at it as they will need to make up some money. Bottom line... we just dont know.

I was told, yesterday by a CM, that Thanksgiving through 2nd week of Dec. is no longer called value season since it's gotten so busy. They now just call it pre-holiday season and that she doubted there would be any better rates than the BRP. She mentioned that there were some evacuees there, but didn't say how many.

Unless that change is taking place next year it most certainly is value season. Starting Nov 27th (the Sunday after Thanksgiving). So she must have been spinning in her chair to much yesterday.

I noticed that the AP rates seem $10 higher so far this year over last year

When I called Yesterday (9/6) to add my Flt info for M.E. I was asked if I had my passes for the park I explained that I had an AP and then I asked if she had heard about the AP rates yet. She said when she was going on Vacation last week she heard they were about to be released and checked her system, obviously nothing there, she then put me on hold to check and then got back to me she said I just asked and there is nothing yet but keep checking back.
