I’m sorry if this has been asked before . I tried to check as much as I could but I’m limited how much reading I get to do with my eyesight. Just wondering if anyone knows what type rooms are going into the new standalone Polynesian?

They have not announced anything. DVCFan.com is theorizing from the picture that it will have studios, 1 BR, 2 BR, and perhaps tower studios.

That is nice.it would be nice to have other options since the bungalows Are over most peoples price range.🙈

I know nothing official but what is likelihood that it would be the same condo association? Would current owners get 11 months at this tower?

Hard to predict right now. Unlike VGF, this one is a true addition with a new pool.

That is one where you can bet one way or the other.

Two factors appear to lean toward its being a new, separate DVC Resort. One is the fact that it is an entire new, large building very different from the existing buildings with rooms, and not just a redo of some existing buildings, to be located in the area where the Luau has been, away from any other existing buildings with rooms.

The second is the kind of announcement made for Poly as compared to the one that was made when the VGF addition was announced. Compare announcement for VGF at https://dvcnews.com/resorts/grand-f...oridian?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter with the announcement for Poly at www.disboards.com/threads/poly-dvc-expansion-coming-2024.3875848/. The VGF announcement makes clear that the new studios were to be an addition to the same condominium association as the existing VGF. The Poly announcement appears to carefully avoid stating that the new building will be part of the existing Poly DVC condo association but instead refers to it generally as an addition to the Polynesian Resort.

However, like VGF, the existing Poly DVC still has more than 40 years left before it expires. As to the CCV expansion, which was also, like VGF, just a redo of existing resort rooms, the existing BRV had only 25 years left when CCV was added, which dictated why CCV could not be part of the same condo association as BRV.

The wording on this from DVC is very vague, so it may or may not be the same association.

For the additional to VGF, they were upfront in saying it was going to be part of the existing condo association.

Thanks for your feedback- as an owner in obviously hope its same association but guess only time will tell
