New Points Okw? Was This Mentioned?

Just got an email from DVC that there are a limited number of points available at OKW. Anyone know anything about this?

DVC has had a fairly sizable inventory of points at OKW for the last couple of years that were acquired either through ROFR or defaults/non-payments.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are picking up even more via ROFR as non-extended contracts hit the market. DVC can sell them as fresh new 49-year versions....like printing money!

I suspect it's just some targeted marketing - I got one today about Hilton Head as well.

DVC sends those type of marketing messages about once a year or so. Usually they target the specific UY you have and tell you they have X# of points. Somebody added them up a couple of years ago and found there were more than 10,000 OKW points available.

As mentioned above, I'm sure they come mostly from ROFR and foreclosures. The foreclosures are literally found money; the ROFR points have some cost attached, but they still make a nice profit on them.

Okay, without calling them, does anyone know how much they are selling for?

I didn't get an email, but I do need more OKW points-I was planning on waiting and buying them when I buy some BLT points
Does the email say anything about any deals on the OKW points?

No "deals" are mentioned, only that 25 points would be $2525 ($101 per pt)

I'll keep waiting, then, unless I hear about a price increase coming. I don't need them until the end of the summer, for booking next summer's trip.
