New Pizza at BW Pizza Window

Had a very nice dinner at Spoodles on our last night of vacation. Got to talk to Chef Dan about some vegetarian dining options. During our talk, I mentioned how disappointed my family had been with our last pizza (in August) from the pizza window and the disappearance of the calzones and meatball sandwiches. He told me that the calzones and sandwiches were not coming back but that he had changed the pizza recipe and was now using fresh, hand-tossed dough and not the pre-made shells. Unfortunately, we were leaving the next day so I can't report on the pizza itself but I plan to try it on our next visit in May.

Sounds like a nice improvment. We will try definatly try the pizza in February while at the Swan. Thanks for the info!

I think we'll give it another try when we go back in February. We were disappointed with the pizza and wait time (1 hour) at the Spoodles window when we were there in July.

We ate at Spoodles a couple of weeks ago (so sad about the calzones ) and I didn't think the pizza was as good as it normally is. It wasn't bad or anything, just okay, and not as yummy as I remember it being. The Spoodles pizza window was always something DH and I looked forward to, now I doubt we'll eat there again, there are just much better dining choices at the Epcot resort area.

DH & I LOVED the pizza there in 2000 on our honeymoon. Then in Nov we went there and it was terrible! The sauce was thick and spicy and just yuck.

The husband is a pizza fanatic and always thought this was acceptable pizza and, trust me, we eat there a lot because I've always liked it. He did take notice of a difference last time (in November) but thought it was an improvement. It's definitely not gourmet pizza by any stretch of the imagination. I like it more for the outside seating area and people watching. Yeah, take out with atmosphere.

I like the pizza at the Boardwalk - and for under $4.00, I get a meal (once slice of pizza and an ice water).

Our trip last February we got pizza from Spoodles window and thought it didn't taste very good.
Glad to hear that they are trying to improve it.

We never thought the pizza from Spoodles was bad. Not great but certainly not bad. Too bad about the calzones. I had one last June and thought it was really good.

We were there in October 05 and walked over to the Boardwalk and DH had to have a slice of pizza! It was so great and when we went back in Dec we had to go get some more!

We were debating about eating the pizza here. We will be at WDW in early February. I will let you know how it is!
