We h ave an appointment for myself, my husband and our son on our baby's birthday! October 27... We are also heading to the MNSSHP that night! I'm still not sure if I am going to go ahead with it, but I know my husband and son are! I can't wait to meet all the pirates!

There is no such thing as too old - we did a guy in his 70s. However, you can be too young, 3 is the minimum age.

Does this fill up really fast? I don't have a credit card (refuse to own one) and generally you need a credit card to hold the booking. Are you able to simply call and pay with cash later? And if not - would I be able to just go there once inside the park and sign my son up, paying with cash?

I used a debit card to hold the Pirate Makeover for my wife and I for Sept 25. They said I wouldn't be charged for it until we are there. Don't really need to use a credit card.

As PP said, you just need a card number to make the reservation, but you are not charged on that card unless you do not show up. You can pay however you like when you visit, including cash!

But I was assured that there are still spots open for the date/time that I wanted - so I'll be heading out today to buy a pre-paid Mastercard with an amount that covers it!

I am thinking of doing this with my DD in February and i was thinking of getting the makeup/bandana for myself. I have one problem. I have thick hair and I can't wear hats because my hair pushes them up and off! Are the bandanas big enough to fit around problem children like myself?

I've never heard of a bandana not fitting - for the "larger heads" I just fold it differently, but it has always fit.

Thank you! I'd love to have a matching pirate bandana with my DD She'd get a big kick out of it! Glad to know you can be creative if my big hair gets in the way! I have to say, this pirate makeover is what I am looking forward to the most on our next trip!

When I called this morning I was told that I needed enough on the card to cover the entire cost of the package that I was going to be selecting; with the idea that if I didn't show up - all money would be recovered by Disney. Now I'm confused. I think I'll just ask a friend with a credit card to make the booking for me!

Arrr... this is frustrating. Not you!! The CMs that give out incorrect information.

Here's the process:
Call to book appointment, give CC number in order to encourage people to show up for appointments so that they are not holding spots from other guests.

If they do not show up, they are charged $10 to that card. Otherwise, we do not look at the card.

When they do show up, they'll go through the experience and pay at the end. You can pay anyway that you want.

The biggest problem we have - Mom books package and dad shows up with son to get makeover. When it comes time to check out - dad says it's already been paid for. WRONG!!!! So if dad doesn't physically have the card with him (with his name on it) or another form of payment, then he can't pay.

Hooray! I'm glad you got in after 4. I mentioned to the managers that there was some problems for guests during MNSSHP and they opened up some spots. YAY!
