New pirate makeover experience!

Made a reservation for my son today. He chose the captain's package and is very excited especially since we will be celebrating his 9th birthday as well. So far, he has spoke of nothing else. I hope it lives up to his expectations!

Have there been photos of the pirate wench costume posted yet? I've been following the thread but I could have missed them. I remember seeing something like that but I also thought I remembered reading that it wasn't what it really looks like.

Thanks for all the great info being posted! I have this booked for my 12 yo ds and my just turning 3 yo dd! It is great to have something they can do together! I am just wondering though if the make up will be to intense for my 3 yo dd! She isn't into scary!:rotfl: I think she envisions more of a "Princess Pirate"! :scared1: Just wondering if it will be what she will like??:confused3:eek:

I am booking min tomorrow for my son he will be 3 years 2 days when we go. (just missed free bday stuff) I was told they would put on a scar and beard and pirate teeth and he can pick out a costume...we are hoping for night og mnsshp but I will have to see if we get it tomorrow.

It had not been posted - if anyone was in the PotC shop late last week they did put it out (accidently) but I believe it's been taken down now. I did an on-line search - this is the closest image I could find of it (but ours is a little different): http://www.buypiratecostumes.com/child_pink_pirate_costume.html

There is a female option, the Empress, which is not scary at all. It's designed to look like a wench.

I was told they would put on a scar and beard and pirate teeth and he can pick out a costume...

That's the Jack look - which also includes a couple different eye options (multiple eyes, smokey eye, or black eye). There is also the cursed look and Captain Hook look.

Sorry if I missed it but how much will it be? Going in two weeks, how far in advance would I need to make reservations?

Thanks so much for all this info!

Is the other girl option like the Swann pirate?

My son will turn 4 while we're at WDW and I thought I would do this for his birthday. I have booked the Captain's package. However, whenever I talk to him about this he says, "NO!!!!". He does not want to do it. He thinks pirates are scary. So... I may be cancelling and coming up with some other plan for his birthday. I wish I'd scheduled the Cool Dude package at BBB. Right now, I can't get it. :(

The Pirates League does not open for three weeks, June 29th, but I would encourage you to make reservations.

It's $50 for the two basic packages (male/female) and $130 for the advance package (Jack, Hook, Cursed looks).

We haven't really talked about the other costumes, since they are already for sell in the PotC shop - if that's what they're currently selling then it'll be the same for us. The only exclusive and new costume is the Wench dress.

I booked today- both 1st Mate packages for the boys (as they will be wearing pirate mickey and donald appliqued shirts). They are soooo excited. They have to earn it though. They have to get 50 pirate points between now and our trip. They get pirate points for good behavior or for doing something out of the ordinary. They get points taken away for bad behavior, etc. This is how we are so far- 0-1-0-2-3-2. So only 2 points right now. Hope they get it together soon.

I looked at the costume today - it's very similar, but that's not it. It has dark pants with a burgundy top. I tried to search for it on Google, but couldn't find it. They indicated that the Swan costume has not been out for awhile.

I love it! After all! All good Pirates follow the Pirates Code! pirate:

I am a bit confused even after reading this thread. I booked my dd the female package and my son the cap hook package. For the "boys" package am I right that the only difference from 50$ to 124$ is a costume and two extra pictures?

As fo my dd I booked bbb then she wanted PL she saw a pirates pink dress and wanted to do that. When I called to book it the cazst member knew nothing except yes there is a girls package and it includes shimmering make up and told me to bring a brush....they don't do their hair for the female PL package do they? How much is it for the PINK DRESS /make up package and what is it called???

so confused:confused3:confused3

Correct. However, you just booked a Captain's package, Hook is a look you can select when you arrive. That gets confusing.

I am not positive, but I believe the Pirate Wench dress is $50. It can be added to the Empress package (female makeup) which also costs $50. We twist hair back so that it will fit under the bandana nicely, but I wouldn't say it's going to be "done." I will double check on the cost of the wench dress tomorrow.

Quick question. Can the girls get the scary makeup too or just the shimmering?

Girls can most certainly get the "male" looks, but they're not all scary. You can see all of the options in my sig - the Empress is the far left!
