New phrases that grate on my nerves...

I hate when people say "I could care less" when they actually mean the opposite. "Meh" is endlessly annoying to me. I HATE "ressies". I find the whole DH, DD, DS thing very corny. LOL should be retired, I don't need instructions to tell me when to laugh. Has anything funny ever been posted before or after an LOL?

Um, I use LOL to indicate that I'm laughing. I thought that's how everyone uses it. You mean, you use it to tell people when to laugh?

The word that makes me cringe when I hear it is supposably ARGH!!! It is supposedly. My family will say this now just to watch my reaction!

I haven't read all the responses, but the missuse of grammar that bothers me the most is "alls....." instead of "all." For example, "Alls I have to do is ...." when it should be "All I have to do is...." I don't know if it's a regional thing. I went to college in Western NY and I seemed to hear it a lot there. But, while living in New England I've heard it too.

The other one is "my bad"---hate, hate, hate that!

Today on TV they were touring a home and the realtor said "owner bedroom" or "owner suite" and i was like "Did I hear that right?"

Then he said "Look at this gorgeous owner-bathroom!" and i almost climbed through the TV to throttle him.

I heard that the other day spoken by someone that couldn't have been more than 20 years old. I just couldn't stop myself from laughing. I asked her, did I just hear you say "back in the day"? She said yes, things have changed since I was that age. What age? Good god, I have socks older than she was. It sounded so silly.

Yeah, there needs to be a law about that one

It should require users to be a bare minimum of 30 but preferably 35 years old, and referring to an event or time of no less than 15 years ago.

I hate when they add nation to something to describe a group, like Raider Nation, or Gator Nation, etc. I also hate when fans talk about their teams and refer to it as "we" or "us"...you're an overweight middle-aged insurance salesman, the team didn't win because of anything YOU did.
