Stay-cation bothers me too. I think it's just another marketing tool meant to make people who choose to vacation home feel pressured about going away. The word is cheesy so I think it's deliberately meant to make people uncomfortable. My DH LOVES to stay home for a vacation. He does it every year the week between Christmas and New Years Day. I just call it a vacation.
Price point means the price that the market will tolerate where supply and demand meet on the graph, not the actual number, that's still just the price. The term doesn't always bug me, in fact I'm kind of glad consumers are being taken into consideration because for ages we were just ignored. People using the term just to sound impressive does bug me though. It doesn't belong in infomercials, it does belong in a sales meeting.
