Please excuse me if been asked before  but, from what I've seen on these boards passporter is "it". There is a new version coming out, June 2006, can't seem to find out exactly when it is coming out, but should I wait? Coming Sept 29/06 - should I buy the current one and start obsessively planning  or is it worth waiting. Thanks as always for your fabulous advice :sunny:

The new version does not come out till November for the following year. Right now you 2006 is out and you can add updated pages to it should there be any right from there web site.

When you get your passporter register it online. You will get e-mail updates and newsletters.

If you can stand to wait for the updated version I think you should wait. Sure you can update if you buy the current, but if you don't need it right now...
Passporter is great, but I think it's most useful when you are closer to the trip. Are you going before or after the new one comes out?

Hey guys, is the Deluxe looseleaf version of Passporter worth the extra money? Or is the Spiral Basic Version all one needs?

We've had both. I like the deluxe because you can add your own pages to personalize it a bit. You can print off personal pages from the Passporter website. I also like to remove the pages that won't pertain to our current trip to lighten it up. I found the deluxe to be quite a bit heavier than the spiral bound edition though.

I couldn't find any info on a new edition of Passporter for this summer. They usually only print once a year and it is later than other travel books which makes it more accurate. All updates you need will be posted on the web site and even in a printable format so you can put them in your passporter. If you are going before the end of the year buy this years, if you are not going until next year then I would wait to buy the next version.

I love my deluxe and have had it since they first started offering them. I update every year and the extra room allows me to store everyting throughout the year. I also love that I can customize it by adding or taking out pages. I believe they are even working on a downloadable document so you can create your own typed pages.

If you are coming in September, you need to start planning now. The new one won't be out until after you come back, usually around November. You can do your ADR's 6 months out, and will that be one the tail end of the free dining? They may fill up fast. Unless a new attraction opens up, it won't be too different. Not sure if the one I used this March had Everest or not.
I preferred the deluxe because I grabbed what I needed for that day so I could wear my fanny back instead of a small backpack. Next time I go, I think I can just order the refill. I also filled out the days day by day, before we settled down for the night. Already somethings are a little fuzzy... :sad2:

Thanks, guys! I think I will go ahead with the Deluxe Version. I like the idea of being able to take out the pages you need for that day and take with you in your bag, without having to tote the whole planner.

Have a magical day!

I don't even think the deluxe version was offered on the chapters website - BUMMER - I've already ordered.
"Passporter Walt Disney World: The Unique Travel Guide, Planner, Journal, Organizer, And Keepsake!: Passporter Walt Disney Wor" Guess it's not deluxe.... :sad2: Oh well, next time I guess :sunny:
