New Passport Through Mail

Update: The two children received their passports in the mail today! Still waiting for one adult passport but we know it is on the way because we received the birth certificates separately in the mail with a note saying the passport has been sent.

It took a little over 2 months from the time we sent the forms in until the time the passports were in our possession (we did not have a travel date on the form for these passports)

For the daughter that needed hers earlier she was able to pick it up about 2 weeks before her travel date (she sent it in about a month and a half before her travel date). (We had the travel date on the form for this passport and she was asked to provide the documentation to prove she had travel plans, she just sent her flight confirmation information)

It seems to be a very long process as there are no real updates to know when they will arrive but in the end it seemed to have all worked out.

Just curious, did the birth certificate come registered mail as well or just the passport? They mailed mine yesterday and they gave me the tracking number and said it will come in 2 packages as well but only one tracking number.

My passport and birth certificate arrived together in the same package

We received one package for each passport, birth certificates were tucked into the passports.

Ours came registered mail two different packages for each person a few days apart. The birth certificates showed up first. They all arrived in their own package - 3 birth certificate packages and 3 passport packages. All arrived within a few days of each other.

We have now received all the passports and birth certificates.

Just received our 2nd dd’s passport! Sent 2 child applications by mail March 7. They received both March 8. We received first dd passport March 31. So relieved that the second one is now here.

Wow, that is quite a while between receiving first and second passport back!! Glad you finally have them both.
Still waiting on passport for DD13. Dropped at Service Canada March 29th, mail out date was 'estimated' for April 29th with 'estimated arrival' May 5th...yeah.....we shall see

I finally received the last passport we were waiting for.

Mailed 2 kid applications by mail using ExpressPost (each in an envelope and both envelope in an ExpressPost envelope) Feb16th.
Payment for both appeared on my credit card March 27th.
Received first passport and birth certificate April 26th (emission date April 22nd)
Received second passport and birth certificate May 5th (emission date May 2nd)

We only need them on June 29th to cross the border for my kids Nexus interview (renewal) so I wasn't too stressed out yet but I'm very happy to have them in my hands.

When I mailed the applications, estimated time for processing was 20 business days...
