Hello everyone,
I, like everyone else here, am a DIE HARD disney fan(lover). My wife and I got married at Sunset Pointe. I must say that the new packages with dining are not better then the silver. They have reduced the restraunt choices, taken away two sit down options a day, and eliminated over half of the epcot countries. I would love to book a silver package. Does anyone else feel this way?
My wife, daughter, and I have instead just booked Grand Floridian for 10 days, are buying 10 day park hoppers, and will buy our meals. I know that it seems like I am complaining, but I am not. I just feel that Disney is lowering their plans. They should still offer other dining options on their new plans if it really is, " Magic Your Way".

Have a DISNEY day,
Jay, Monica, & Alexis Angoff

Well there is the premium package that has 3 meals a day.

I know there is a premium package. The premium package is an additional $3000 for a 7 night stay at Grand Floridian over package with meal deal. If you compare a silver package, that price would have been only $25 a person a day difference.

I really miss the old Silver Plan. My family and I LOVED it! I loved the point system and being able to do other things with them besides eating (spa treatments, gifts, etc). I really hope they bring some form of it back, but I have my doubts that they will.

The new packages are a joke to those of us who loved the Silver.
And they're supposed to be so flexible and affordable... ha!
First problem - the dining portion of the package. To even get close to what was available with the silver we'd have to upgrade to the premium package. Okay ... even though we won't need or use three meals a day. We always used the Silver plan for dinner, which meant at least one PS a day. All those dinners take time especially when you factor in transportation to and from. I can't imagine sitting down for three meals a day and the time that takes. We'd more than likely blow off some of those meals. And speaking as a guest who used the silver plan to the fullest, that just can't happen!

Second problem I have with the package - tickets. With regard to the premium package instead of a UPH type ticket, they actually limit the number of visits to PI, Disney Quest and the water parks. That's a problem for us because we never use the water parks, but beat the heck out of PI. And I know that somewhere within the price of the ticket we paid to get into the water parks. But that's okay. I can live with that because I like PI so much.
So for Disney to put a limit on how many times I can visit PI, or the water parks if I wanted to, is just downright offensive to me. That's not even close to MAGIC MY WAY.

Seriously reconsidering this 2005 trip ...

I totally agree about that. We don't do the water parks either but we love DQ. I hate it that they put a limit on how many times we can visit DQ. My husband decided that he wants to try BB so instead of using one of my 5 options on the My Way tickets, I am going to take our 6 day park hopper tickets and use them for BB. Oh Well, I guess there's no way they are going to change that part of the ticket system :confused3
