Hi everyone, I'm Eemaan, I'm popping over from my usual haunt of The Disneyland Paris Board, to say Hello!
I really want to go to Disney again, but I want to go further afield but not to WDW as I think it might be too much for us to handle.
So my question is, is DLRC easier to do than WDW?
We went to DLRP for 3 dyas 2 nights and we didn't get a huge amount in, well, in fact we hardly spent any time in Discoveryland or Adventureland!
I don't think our budget would stretch for more than 3 nights and 4 days, so come on guys, sell DLRC to me, why should I go there instead of WDW?!?!
Sorry it's past midnight here and I'm falling asleep...so excuse me if my writing isn't making much sense or incohesive...

you should be able to do DL and DCA in 3 days and 2 nights I would think, depending on when your planning your trip. One thing to keep in mind is if you chose off season, you'll want to make sure that at least one day is either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, as they don't do fireworks and Fantasmic during the week.

As for WDW. I have only been once, and I think if you try to do WDW in less than a week, you'll be seriously disapointed. It is so spread out and with 4 parks, waterparks, 20+ hotels that you might want to see... there is simply no way to get it done in a short trip.

Also something else to concider, I gather from your post that your traveling overseas to get here.... I would think that the majority of the cost would be in the travel expense, rather than the expense once you arrive. I would look into how that should effect your plans as well.

Thanks for the lovely replies, yes you're right we'd have to fly to the US from England and it would be the biggest expense for our trip, my geography isn't very good, so could someone tell me where California is in relation to Pennsylvania, as my husbands uncle lives there and we were hoping to see him also if/when we go?
I'm going to be hanging around here a bit, so I hope to 'see' some of you round!

Hi Eemaan. DLR is of a similar size to DLRP. There are more rides and shows at DLR. The second park, DCA, is much better than WDS in Paris, IMO. I would say DLR will take 25-50% more time to visit than DLRP.

Opposite sides of the country, unfortunately for you. About 3000 miles (4500 km) away from each other. Pennsylvania is in the east, bordering New York on the south with a small part of its border not far from the Atlantic ocean. California is of course on the west coast and on the Pacific Ocean. It is about a 4-5 hour airplane flight away.
