:rotfl: You just gotta build up to the idea S-L-O-W-L-Y ... make him think it's his idea ;)

Congratulations, BTW - when is your wedding date?

On the Theme Parks and Attractions thread, someone has posted the September calendar that the TA's have! Just wanted to share that! :goodvibes
You can see the Fridays and Tuesdays that MNSSHP are hopefully going to be too:thumbsup2

Can you give a link to that thread?

I will try to find it on my own, but just in case....

I'm working it slow and steady ;) haha. I mean, I'm making progress already. lol

our wedding is 9/8/12 - its coming up SO fast!

How exciting for you! The time flies once you start planning, doesn't it? I love weddings - have helped plan a bunch for family and friends. :lovestruc

I have a question for those of you who have done MNSSHP ... is it for two adults without kids? Would we have a good time? Are there rides open or is it just trick-or-treating with a mad rush of little ones?

TIA

I also have a mnsshp. We skipped it when we went sept. 10... but I really want to do it this time. Trying to figure out what a good plan would be for us... I have two small kids (they will be 1yr and 3yrs on our trip next sept.). I was thinking about going to to mk the morning of mnsshp (breakfast at crt and a few rides), taking a long afternoon break, than back to the park around 4 or 5 and hopefully stay at the park pretty late (if the kids are tolerating) and than spending the morning and early afternoon at the resort the next day. I talk to someone the last time we were there and she said she likes to stay at the hotel the morning/early afternoon of the mnsshp... but i thought it might be better to have the next morning "off"... any suggestions? Has anyone been with little ones.

Yeah, I get the same thing ... even though it was his idea for this whole trip. :confused3 Originally we were going to Missouri this year for a short stay, then saving up for our big 15th anniversary at Disney in 2014 (hopefully in a deluxe). The plan changed rather quickly, and here I sit planning a completely different trip than was originally discussed!

We'll just have to be here for each other, so they don't end up going crazy LOL. I spent my 15th anniversary in Las Vegas. We'll be married 25 yrs. in May:cloud9:. I have some family from overseas coming for my anniversary. The same family members were here for my wedding:wizard: Our original intentions were that my cousin and her husband were coming here and to we were going to all go somewhere. That all changed now, there are more family members coming and we're going to hang around here. Our trip is just going to have to be this one. Which is fine, because we honeymooned in WDW ;) It was my first time there:love::love:

I can't wait to see, I'm going to look right now! I can't wait to go to MNSSHP, either. That was so much fun last time we went.:dance3:

Thanks!

Hi guys! I'm totally jumping in on this party!!

I officially booked 3 nights at AS Movies for Sept. 28-Oct. 1!!!! :woohoo:

And, in 3 minutes I'm going online to register for my first ever Disney race (and actually the first race period that I've ever registered for, though I'm going to do more this spring), the Tower of Terror 10 Miler race, which is on the 29th! I'm so excited!!!!! I started running in October and fell in love with it, and my longest sustained run so far is 12 miles! It's gonna be a blast!

This is also planned as my first solo trip (fairly recently single, lol) although by September that might change, who knows!!

Sooo excited!!! :goodvibes

Welcome aboard, DisneyBelle! Congrats on registering for the race - how exciting for you!

Hello all! We just got back from the World last week and are already itching to go back. We are thinking about going in September so I was wondering what the crowds and weather are like. What is the best week in September to go? It's a value season right? TIA :goodvibes

Yes, it is value season during September. When we went last year, we found the crowds to be minimal - low wait times for rides, no trouble eating at CS restaurants. Our buses were crowded from the resort, but we stayed at POP so I hear that is fairly common.

As for the weather ... it was HOT! :crazy2::sunny: 90+ degrees every day and muggy. UGH. If you do go, make plans for plenty of water, take a hat and a good poncho - it poured on the day we went to HS.

HTH and let us know what you decide! princess:

Oh my! That is HOT! Man, I thought it was hot when it was in the 80s last week. I can't imagine it being in the 90s and walking around AK  I'm not really used to it being in the 90s either, since I live in Maine and it rarely gets up that high...although this past summer it got over 100 for a few days :scared1: I thought I was going to melt lol.

It was hot last Sept...the day we went to AK, I almost passed out due to the heat!! Had to call it a day at lunch, only thing we could think of was going back to the Poly to swim:goodvibes

Being from Cincinnati, we get some humidity here ... but I was not prepared for the weather when we went, and we've been there numerous times. It was hot and sticky, wearing gym shoes/socks made your feet sweat, but wearing flip-flops was nearly unbearable because the pavement was so hot, etc.

Trust me when I say it was pretty miserable ... and here I am, gearing up to do it again this year!

I dunno - never been in high Summer ... however, my brother and his family are going the first week of June, so I should have some idea once they get back. :headache:

Hi, congrats on the race!

Yikes! Can't imagine what it's like in the summer months! :scared:

I'm from Long Island, so it gets pretty humid here, too. We went last year in the end of July. It was hot. Really hot. Although, family said home was hotter that particular week.

At any rate, I figure this definitely can't be any worse. :lmao:

I think we're going to end up not staying at BLT, because even though I won't be booking until tomorrow, I did go onto the dvc website for a preview and the first few days we're going aren't available. Unless that magically changes by tomorrow morning, we won't be staying there this trip. We don't want to change rooms mid-trip. Going to rethink this tonight and see where we end up in the morning. :) I'll let you guys know.

Hope those dates open up for you pixiedust: Where else would you consider otherwise?
