New "Official" Frozen: 2015 Frozen Summer Fun June 17 to Sept 7!

Here is a picture of the big screens on Hollywood Blvd. The one had two sets of screens so that those on Sunset blvd could see the stage for fireworks and these screens were also used for the parade too.

One of my favorite things about FSF, Olaf cupcakes!

Anna and Elsa cupcakes were yummy too!

We were at the first dessert party and they had full sized cupcakes. After that, they had bite sized. Anna is a chocolate cake and Elsa is a vanilla cake. These cupcakes were also available at several counter service restaurants as well as Oaken's.

It was so nice to sit for the Frozen Holiday Package. But the price tag for that event was so much more!

I think we'll get an idea of cost for this year once FTF packages are released. And it will be interesting to see if that package has seating or not.

I am also hoping for the Premium Package again this year!! We also were rained out last year but had so much fun regardless! DD was even in the little parade! It was such a fun day! Can't wait to do it again!

I doubt there will be seating... but it would be nice to dream!!!

Are they doing the opening show this year? It sounds like it made rope drop a pain last year. If so, do they do it on AM EMH mornings?

There is no mention of an opening show, but I would assume based on last year that there will be. Guess we will find out for sure on June 17.

This might be kind of silly, but does anyone know how long Frozen treats stay around? For some reason my DH and I ended up obsessed with the "snowball" and we really have a craving! We already have 3 trips lined up and don't know if we can make it just for Frozen. :( Our trip closest to that date will be in October for MNSSHP.

The Olaf cupcake stayed through the holidays then was replaced by a Baymax cupcake.

I haven't seen any snowballs. The Krispy treats are still around.

Went to see Cinderella today and loved the short Frozen Fever. The Anna and Elsa's dresses are great in it. I wonder if Disney will be able to keep up the supply with demand this year during FSF with the dresses? Last year, every time a new shipment came in, they disappeared in no time. Without any spoilers, I saw some great opportunities for merchandising. But I haven't noticed any Frozen Fever merchandise in the parks yet. By the way, the Cinderella movie was fantastic! It's one I could see a second time.

We will be at WDW on 5/22 (our last full day). We had already planned on doing MK that day (got BOG ADR for dinner, so I'd hate to lose it). This was all before finding out about the 24 hour event. I have 3 small kids who will not make it past 8 or 9 PM. I really dislike massive crowds. Should I switch our park that day? My kids love Frozen, but I am afraid it will all be too much. I was avoiding DHS because of Star Wars Weekends. Anyone have advice for me! Kids are barely 3, turning 5 while there, and 8. Should I be excited or scared?

Ugh. I'm in the same situation as you and I'm so annoyed. I picked that Friday as a MK day due to projected crowd levels and now this stupid 24 hr event is going to make it crazy busy. I would switch it with a DHS day, but we have an ADR at BOG which I don't want to lose. I was really looking forward to doing a lot of stuff in the afternoon/ evening and now it seems like it wil be so much more crowded and thusly considerably less fun. I need to figure this out soon b/c I have to make FP choices in a couple days. ugh. I'm so annoyed. Does anything special happen on the 24 hr day other than just being open 24 hrs?

well, right after posting I went to the BOG site in case I could get a lunch ADR for Thursday. Surprisingly, there was one available. it's not until 2:00, but we can handle that. As long as my husband will agree, I think we'll switch our days and do MK on Thursday and DHS on Friday to avoid the insanity of the 24 hr party.

This year's 24 hour day is Frozen themed. The Disney Blog mentioned special character meets, shows, and surprises throughout the 24 hours.

Frozen fun really breathes much needed new life into Hollywood studios.....Cant wait to experience it again this summer....pixiedust:

So the 24 hour event is only at MK? Really on the fence on whether to keep that as a MK day (and keep our BOG ADR) or switch it with Epcot and do MK the day before? We would probably make use of those early hours, since my kids are little. And they do love Frozen. But we would never stay past 9PM at the latest (even that's unlikely). So is it worth it? Anyone who has done a 24 hour event have advice?

Yes. Only at mk. If you have park hoppers you could do mk early and hop over to Epcot when it gets too crowded.

New, at least the first time I've noticed it, Frozen merchandise.

Due to the Frozen fireworks at HS this summer TSMM and the GMR will close early. I read that when the park is open later than the fireworks TSMM and the GMR will reopen sometimes. Is it safe to say that on the evening EMH days at HS that these two attractions will reopen after the fireworks? If so what is the easiest way to get to TSMM to try and be one of the first in line? Should we go from Hollywood Blvd or would it be better to from the old Backlot Tour area? Thanks for the help.

I haven't been there for a 24 hr event, this year will be my first time(yay!! :yay:), but posts from other dissers said the morning was a good time to get lots of rides in, so that might work out well for you. And, with the frozen theme for the event, that'd be great for the kids maybe since the frozen summer stuff in HS doesn't start until Jun 17. And then you could keep your BOG ADR!
