*** New Official February 2013 Thread ***

Go to mydisneyreservation.com and follow the prompts :D

I always see the option to 'check in online' or whatever right under my resort res on the My Disney Experience page also.

We're going to do ours Friday right before we hit the road!

Thanks !!!:thumbsup2[/QUOTE]

it has not been working for us. Kelli did it the first day we could but it would not link our CC to the room. now it just says Error. retry

So I decided o help out a co-worker yesterday that was going to work some OT. Very late. I don't have that much PTO, so I volunteered to help her. This way I could flex any extra time and not use as much PTO. Great idea.

I worked a 16 hour day. I hate people. Not the co-worker. The other people tat caused this. I'm exhausted. Here's hoping I don't get sick now!

Thank you! But what's the saying, no good deed goes unpunished. lol

Yikes! No getting sick people! We're almost at our Disney days. Hop up on orange juice and chicken noodle soup :thumbsup2

So, this snowstorm we might be getting this weekend. Is it the one Weather Channel has named 'Q'? The planner in me wants to fret but the geek in me is winning out and laughing at the name. Someone hail Captain Picard on the Enterprise to come thwart Q before our flights/road trips are impacted :lmao:

How do you schedule a character phone call? We supposedly could have gotten one with the Stay/Play/Dine package but I've no idea how to work it.

We're just back and I think we we're sick enough for everyone. What a drag, but didn't compare to the packs of girls celebrating their Quinceaneras. Who knew there we're that many 15 year old girls in Brazil. There are groups of 40-60 at a time at Pop staging each morning before filling all the bus's. Then at the Parks, all the FP's we're gone before 10a. I was blown away at how busy each park and DD was each day. Bus's, Rides, Tram, Shows took forever to cycle and everywhere we went to eat was filled as well. So on top of being sick, we missed out on doing any rides multiple times and spent a huge amount of time in que's. In addition, dinner ressies we're wrong, room was dirty (ick, have pics) ME bus will overfilled, lobster at Narcoosee was boring, etc. Will research this a bit better next time we try to go "off season". 30+ years and never had a bad visit until now, really bummed.

In the back of the packet (Mickey Mail) with all the coupons; one of them gives you instructions.

I just got an email with a bonus cash offer from Priceline. Basically they offered to add $2 to anything I bid for a car. I had a standard car with Enterprise for 260 or so already but gave Priceline a try. I bid 12 and it was accepted. So we now have a standard car for the 9 days with Budget for $194.:cool1:

The only thing I am not thrilled with is I can't add the Fastbreak member number with a Priceline rental so there may be a long wait at the counter. However if you saw the prices people are getting for rentals of my length this month you'd know why I was so happy. There hasn't been anything under $500 in months for my week. So I'm happy to save another $60:)

Wow, that's too bad. I think we were there the same time you were feb 5-12. We didn't find anything crowded until MK on monday Feb 11. ( we didn't do the parks on Saturday.). We had lots of cheerleaders at our resort, but didn't find they impacted our trip much, maybe because they are busy at their competitions. Being sick though really makes everything a lot harder to deal with. I'm sorry your trip wasn't what you'd hoped. :-(

been back a couple days now, sorry took so long to write, came home to find out a close personal friend was in the hosp. then passed away on Monday.
Anyway wanted to give you all a update of our trip.. first thing we didn't get Homerun section at the ASsp like requested as most of the area was being refurbed, but instead we were upgraded to Touchdown right next to the food court, I mean literally our room was right next to the football to walk down to food court!;) Had a pleasant stay with them, some of Twirl Mania was already there and some kind of soccer team, but all were well behaved.
We went on to stay at Comfort Suites Maingate East, very nice place, breakfast was wonderful. When we first checked in the room smelled like smoke(this is a smoke-free place), they had no problem moving us and was very apologetic!
On to the parks, first day was warm and nice, we had no problems at MK, didn't really start getting crowded til lunch time, our longest wait was 20 mins. On Valentine's Day we went to Epcot, drizzled most of the day and was a little chilly but didn't let it get us down, waited about 20 mins. for Test Track(wasn't impressed with new version) got a FP for Soarin, went on over to the World, enjoyed many snacks from various places..had a good day.
Now on to Fri when we went to HS, oh my gosh, I have never seen that big of a crowd, there were less crowds when we went in June?? Got on RRC and ToT once, never got to TsM, FP went quick, waited 30 mins for Backlot, and never in all my years did I have to wait 30 mins for the Great Movie Ride, needless to say we had enough by 2 and left to check into other hotel.
Sat. was amazing at first, we got to AK first thing and rode Everest 3 times in a row with 5 min wait!! Then went on over to Safari, only waited 10 mins. by the time we got off that the crowds were showing up,but nothing that wasn't tolerable, this day was suppose to be a 9 by the crowd calendar, that 9 must have been at the other parks, we pretty easily did everything we wanted to do, DD loved the Lion King show!!
When I have more time will be posting some pics on different posts here.
Overall we enjoyed ourselves, but I think in the future Feb. will not be for us..;):)

We're at 3 days and are eyeing the storm as well. Flying out of Providence, RI late afternoon and have our fingers crossed that we'll get out. Wife is in a small panic, but wearing a Disney tie today for luck.

6 days!!!! I am still smiling. Both kids have strep throat and fevers and we keep moving along with our count down saying "nothing is going to stop us" :) My kids ares troopers. My 7 year old didnt even want to tell me her throat was hurting b/c she "didnt want to be sick for Disney".

I told her it's better that you told me so we have 6 days to get better! :butterfly

6 days!!! (oh i said that already)

4 DAYS!! I can feel it; it is real. I'm up early and at work. I'm in a great mood and just feel happy for no apparent reason. LMAO. Yup. We call that the pre-Disney glow around here. Even DBF is officially excited. I caught him checking the weather last night!

SO FREAKING EXCITED!!

So what's left to do. I need to pick up a few toiletry items. I might buy a new pair of jeans (lost some weight; deserve it. lol), pedicure, oh yes, DMV tomorrow to find out where my registration is, carpet cleaning on Friday, Saturday laundry and pack. Leave Sunday.

WOOHOO!

2 more sleeps before we start the drive!!!

I can't even get excited - I'm in panic mode :rotfl2: Every single trip. It never fails.... complain about how far away the trip is, prepare to the point where I think it's all done, come 3 days away and I'm rushing around doing all the things I didn't think to do over the past 3 months!

When we're driving through those gates I'll finally relax!

PSA: Don't forget to set up your character calls if you did the SPD offer!
